Wanting some BBQ on the drive back to Florida and stopped here. The food and service is excellent. We were greeted and sat immediately by some of the nicest people you will encounter. Southern hospitality. Everyone was friendly and welcoming and the restaurant is very clean. The BBQ we enjoyed was some of the best BBQ I have ever had along with the sides. Those reviews about unprofessional or rude workers is unfounded along with the comments about the freshness of their food. My family is very finicky about the quality and taste of the food we eat and we want good service as well. Oglethorpe BBQ Co. exceeded all of our expectations. Great food and service! We ordered the lemon-pepper wings (well seasoned), 4 meat plate with three sides, slab of ribs, cheeseburger and sweet tea.. IT.WAS.ALL.AMAZING!

The pork, beef, chicken and ribs were tender, well spiced and smoked. Each had their own sauces. The sweet potato fries were perfect...crunchy on the outside and soft middle.

The hamburger was cooked medium-well, beef was juicy, thick and seasoned to perfection. The burger was well constructed and all the fixings were fresh.

They suggest you call in your order to reduce wait time. However, we walked in and our food was ready in 20 minutes during lunch hour rush.

My family and I have ordered from here the past two weekends. We placed a large order each weekend as well. Let me start first by saying the order process was so smooth as we placed them over the phone. During the call if I had ANY questions at all they were all answered with ease, my order was repeated both times back to me and was not missing a single item.
