Dos Primos Restaurant — Restaurant in Montgomery City

Food was great. That's the only positive I can say. We arrived at 1:15 PM, there were approximately 12-15 guests. Every table & booth in the place had dirty dishes. We were reluctantly seated at an 8-top table. The other end of the table still had the dirty dishes of the previous diners. The waiter tossed some chips & salsa on the table. No greeting, no utensils, no napkins & no plates. The waiter brought our drinks, took our order and he never returned. Some other employee delivered our food. Never received my check, so I went to the counter to pay. We had two lunch specials and two sweet teas. The cashier/waiter charged me $30.87. Nearly $31.00 for two meals & drinks??? I don't know if that included gratuity or not. I should have asked but I was in shock. When I got home, I compared this restaurant's pricing with others in the area. They are clearly over-priced. At least $2-$3 more per entre' than other Mexican Restaurants. I will not return...

Table service initially was prompt, and we placed our order and received our drinks, Budweisers in bottles. Basket of nacho chips was disappointing. Not in the least bit warm, and just on the edge of stale. After having waited longer than what seemed necessary, we placed our order, and though the restaurant wasn't at all crowded, we received no more attention or solicitations from the waitress throughout again, a quite long wait for our food. When the food finally did arrive, it was very hot, fresh and tasty, and we did enjoy the meal. The price of the beer was a dollar per bottle higher than we normally pay in local restaurants, but the food we ordered was a pretty reasonable cost. All in all, we were satisfied. The food is so good. I got the quesadilla grande. It tasted amazing, there was a little too much grease in with the cheese, but what do you expect from a Mexican restaurant, their culture is made of grease. The overall vibe of the place is good. I mean it’s like every other Mexican restaurant, but with way more decor which I love. A nothing thing is that it fills you up I only ate one quesadilla and it filled me up, but that also could have been me devouring their chips and salsa, I mean you can’t judge when you try it, it is seriously so good.
