Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Montgomery

Visited this place because there was absolutely nothing else nearby and my son wanted to go here, because you know, dairy queen is known for their awesome chicken tenders baskets with gravy and sweet treats. Except this place looks like it was forgotten in time and the shipments of chicken and gravy and anything nice had stopped long time ago. There is absolutely nothing nice about this place. DO NOT GO HERE. You will get asked what type of sauce you want for your chicken tenders, and when you point out it should come with gravy, you will get told it doesnt and will get offered ketchup. You will also get a cone that has about one inch of ice cream on it, nothing else. My dog didnt even want to eat the fries (she loves fries) that's how bad it was. If you are traveling and hungry and have hungry kids in your car for what seems an eternity, go somewhere else, it will not be worth it Sharon, trust me. My sister and I ate here today. The lady in front of me said she didn't have any money and she was giving her order for free. It was close to $5 . Not that much but not the point. We were headed to the car and one of our ice-cream cones dropped to the ground. Keep in mind now we paid for our food. So my sister wanted to go see about another cone and they wanted to charge her full price to get another one. I can't believe after giving away a higher price item because the lady said she didn't have any money they would not replace the ice cream cone that was paid for and dropped. That just wasn't right. If they could give away that item they just gave away they could have replaced her ice-cream cone or maybe even half price. It was the Dairy Queen off southern Blvd. and high way 31. I've tried this place several times. I had a great experience before COVID but it seems that the customer service is a hit and miss now. Several times the customer service was terrible but this last time was my last visit. I went when the line was long at lunch and lobby was closed. The employee at the drive through didn't answer at the menu board and so finally I drove to the window to order. She took an order from the car behind me and told me I would have to drive around and place my order. I refused to go back through that long line so the owner came to the drive through and agreed to take my order and have me drive up to wait but they continued taking all the rest of the orders in the line and I still had to walk back to the window to ask for my order which was now paid for before they started bagging it.
