Normally this is a good old laid back bar but went there with 4 friends tonight on a (karaoke) Friday night. I guess u call it that the karaoke owners/DJ'S were the only ones singing and it was so bad our ears were ringing the dogs down the street were howling when I played the jukebox they shut it off because they didn't like this and were mad because people wanted to here something decent this was the biggest joke I've ever seen the owner even asked us to leave if we didn't like it since (SHE PAID THEM TO PERFORM) SO 5 out of 10 people left . .This will fore sure be the next bare rescue if the owner keeps drinking and giving this kind of entrainment . Their bar has large windows overlooking the Mississippi River, which is quite calming. The boaters come off the river for. Meals. I had a chicken wrap with Manga habanero sauce. Really good. They have a very good menu selection and reasonably priced. Clean establishments. Live music at times. Also an outdoor garden area to sit in. You can follow old River road( called the Mormon trail) to historic city of keokuk, iowa. Great historical area. Still had a one room school house...
Read moreI really like the atmosphere here. People aren't afraid to chit chat. I really love how they put up the local kids art work or the kids that just pass through. The Sandbar is definitely a place I will return. The location right on the Mississippi River is so beautiful. The decor is on point for a beachy feeling. They have a pool to shoot some pockets. The cook yall, L'me tell yall. He or she sure can make up a burger. Uuummmm. Them good pickles to. Oh yes. I don't think I can say anything on the cleanliness. I have no complaints on that. WHICH SAYS ALOT YALL. Big bar for lots of friends and memories. Yall...
