Double Sky Diner — Restaurant in Moody

I had the lobster and green beans and a Coke. It was all delicious! I will definitely go back there. I hope to get the lobster again because it was the best lobster I’ve ever had. We were there yesterday, May 10th and the waitress we had was awesome! I went with Cheryl, Bradley, and Renée. I’m sorry that I don’t remember our waitresses name. I really wished I did so she could be recognized. She was very sweet and awesome. If more people in customer service jobs was like her then things would be better. There are too many rude people in the customer service jobs. There needs to be more people just like the waitress we had yesterday.

UPDATE: We went back on July 9th and our waitress’s name was Mari. We’ve had her as a waitress several different times. She is another awesome waitress. She is always very friendly and understanding and patient. Like I said…she is awesome! The ONLY thing I don’t like about the place is that they do not have booths. I get nervous if I’m not against the wall. I prefer to sit in a booth. Other than that, I love the place. The food is always delicious. The staff is great…including the manager. Other than the one time back in May…I get the grilled catfish and green beans. One day I had the chicken spaghetti. It is cooked different than the way I cook it, but I still really enjoyed it. Decided to change my review to a 1 star. After frequenting the restaurant our group asked for the fans to be turned down. Seconds later another group of ladies asked the same thing. Then another gentleman asked for them to be turned down. We were all told that it can not be done, lol. So I just got up and pulled the fan chains that were above us. We also asked for the christian music to be turned off and were denied, again, several other people in other groups not attached to ours asked the same. I guess people get tired of the same note being blasted constantly. Christian music is ok but it gets really old really fast when its level disrupts your private conversations. Then our plates were taken away from us before we were done eating and told about how unhappy they were about us turning the fans down when we paid, lol. I think the owners should reconsider their customers comfort and listening pleasures over their own but hey, who am I, lol. Won't be going back to the rude fundamentalist christian restaurant anymore.

A reply to you is, that for a place that plays christian music so much, you are a terrible liar, lol. I didn't cuss at anyone, I made my displeasure in the music known and so did the other patrons. I used to love this place. It USED to have great food and service. Tonight was the third time the food was no where near what I paid for. Ordered a turkey avocado sandwich - no questions on what I wanted on it or if there were any changes, and NO avocado at all! Not even a smearing. (They used to ask) ordered an avocado burger - again, no questions asked. Ordered a cheeseburger - I (former waitress and grill operator here) had to tell them the changes because - you guessed it - they didn’t ask. The last order was for their combo plate; catfish, shrimp and sides - was not even offered the tartar and shrimp sauces. None was offered or placed in the bag. All the food was sub-par and not what it used to be.

Every place deserves a bad night, but three times in a row? I probably will not be going back. Which is sad as it used to be an amazing...
