Casa Bavaria is truly a hidden gem in the mountains of Puerto Rico! Nestled between Morovis and Orocovis, this authentic German restaurant offers a dining experience like no other. From the moment you arrive, the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and rivers set the tone for an unforgettable visit.
The food is absolutely incredible and genuinely authentic, which is rare to find in Puerto Rico. My friends and I had the Jägerschnitzel and Wiener Schnitzel, both cooked to perfection, along with bratwurst and sauerkraut, delicious potato salad, and the best almond cake I’ve ever tasted. Everything was so fresh and flavorful, and you can tell it’s prepared with care and love for the craft.
During Oktoberfest weekend, the atmosphere was lively, with a great crowd, live music, and fun vibes all around. The back terrace, overlooking the stunning landscape, was my favorite spot to enjoy a cold beer and take in the beauty of this one-of-a-kind location.
If you’re in Puerto Rico and looking for a unique dining experience, Casa Bavaria is a must-visit. Whether you’re a fan of German cuisine, breathtaking views, or just love discovering hidden gems, this place has it all. I can’t wait to go back! PS they also have Puerto Rican food - but I go for the...
Read moreWe happened to pass by this restaurant on our way to pick up some Puerto Rican delicacies. On our way back, we decided to give it a try. What a bad judgement call that was. The Red Snapper in Criolla sauce was served overcooked and the sauce was basically flavorless save for a strong taste of green pepper and fish. Sent it back and ordered Bratwurst with Sauerkraut. Hard to believe that in Puerto Rico - a German dish was actually better than the Puerto Rican one. The server was very friendly and accommodating. The management staff, on the other hand - were not. We overheard a person (either the chef or a manager) voicing his disdain for us because we did not like the fish we were served. He couldn't believe it. This, he said... to other patrons while we were in the parking lot. Not very professional at all. I'd give it no stars if it wasn't for the Brats...
Read moreFood is pretty good. Interesting to find a German restaurant in the mountains of Puerto Rico. However the service is lacking, takes a while to get your check even when they are not very busy.
Also be warned, they will force you to purchase a Stein glass if you want to drink out of one even if they do not fill it. I asked for a Stein, but they did not have any draft beer, so they filled it about a third of the way with a bottle which is okay. But then on the bill I noticed an $18 charge and they said I had to pay for the Stein and bring it home, but did not inform me before that I was purchasing the glass.
Otherwise a good restaurant with an...
