Where to begin... After a recommendation from a friend to go to TSB's my wife, brother in law, and I decided to venture out after church on Sunday. We were warmly welcomed, and attended to quickly. Our waitress was genuinely incredible. However, when it comes to the rest of the trip, I have nothing positive left to add. My wife and I ordered steak, both medium rare, and the steaks come out well done. We sent them back and asked for them to be remade, given the steaks were 40$ a piece, and they agreed and apologized. My brother in law ordered chicken fried chicken, and what they brought out looked about the size of two chicken nuggets. They apologized, and said they would take two dollars off of his ticket since it was the last one they had and it was smaller than normal. This was an appreciated gesture, but the lack of communication that it was going to less than the normal portion left my brother in law hungry and disappointed, when they could have clarified the situation and allowed him to pick a different meal. Back to the steaks... while waiting for our steaks to be remade one of the kitchen workers came out and said she needed our steaks, which was fine, we weren't planning to eat them anyways. She then proceeded to grab my wife's fork and take them off our our plates, reaching all over our food and making a mess of things. After the chef had finished her smoke break, we were brought out two new steaks, my wife's was medium rare this time, but tasted like the meat was old. My steak came out RAW. Full purple on the inside, no pink. The fat hadn't even rendered yet. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The entire meal there was a random dog, apparently belonging to the smoke break chef, begging you for food. He chased motorcycles as they left, and attacked another dog on the patio before the workers finally took him to the back. Truly wish I had...
Read moreSo I have been here twice and that’s not near enough. If you don’t want the best steak in the most hole in the wall, mom and pop joint, this isn’t the place for you. The first time I went, I was certain my GPS was taking me to the backwoods of no return. Just when I was about to turn around, I saw the sign and continued on. This is like going to your friends man cave for some good grub and good times. Everyone is friendly and it’s a family atmosphere. There’s shuffle board and a couple of pool tables if you want to entertain yourself. If you want someone else to do it, sometimes there’s a live band. The steaks are tuxedo quality in an overall and straw hat setting. I’ve seen people in business suits here and guys that look like they’ve just put in a hard days work on the farm. Everyone is welcome and everyone is treated fair. You have to try this place! You will not be disappointed and you will tell your friends about your experience. They do serve alcohol but the signs remind you that this is a family establishment! Make the drive to the outskirts of Perry County and treat yourself to a top notch steak. It’s...
Read moreBeen wanting to try this place for quite a while. Was very disappointed and will never return nor would I recommend it. Atmosphere? Well, that's ok, it's nice and funky. But for the prices of their steak dinners, you don't get a high-end meal. The salad did have lots of goodies on it and the dressing was very tasty. But most of the lettuce leaves were beyond wilted. The "dinner roll" was half of a dry, hard French roll. Served with little containers of whipped Margarine, would have expected real butter, at least. The fries were fries. The okra was tough. Then there were the steaks. We ordered them RARE, emphasized to the server RARE, RARE, RARE. Not her fault, but 2 were medium, not even medium rare. Had to go find our server( not a busy night with us being the 3rd table). Would have beem better for her to wait after serving us til we cut into them to approve, as most restaurants do They did take them back and replaced them with RARE steaks, and they were very good. However, for steaks that cost between $40-$43 dollars a plate, we...
