Some of the worst management I have ever experienced.
I have used the Dunkin app about 10 times at this location, and 5 of those orders have either been incorrect, out of stock, or have taken in excess of 25 minutes to be ready. (My order is a plain coffee and a croissant)
The best part is this location can not process refunds when you order something on the app and it turns out they don’t have that item in stock. Instead you are left to wait 30 minutes on hold with the Dunkin’ customer service line to process a $5 refund.
Now you might be thinking, “well I better just order in person since this location clearly can’t process app orders correctly or timely”. Hahaha good luck, if there are 7 employees at this location, 6 are working on screwing up mobile orders, which just leaves 1 employee to handle walk in customers. Want a cup of black coffee and one person is in line in front of you? No problem, that will be $4 and 20 minutes of your time.
This location was opened about 5 months ago and these are my experiences since their opening. I understand building a business takes time and I have held off on writing a negative review to give this branch a chance to work out the kinks and serve customers better, but at some point you have to accept that this is a mismanaged store with nonexistent customer service.
I strongly recommend stopping in if you are extremely bored and would like to see mismanagement at its finest. Just take a seat by the mobile order section of the store and watch 6 people try to organize a mosh pit of pink order slips, coffee cups, and white bags. Truly a sight to behold.
I look forward to filing a better business bureau complaint for refusing to provide a refund on site when the product i paid for was out of stock.
6/5/24 Update - Told myself I would never go back after the first 10 encounters. Well this morning I was running a little late and decided to give it another shot.
Low and behold my order of a croissant and a Boston Kreme donut is ready and waiting for me when I arrive, hallelujah!
Get in the car, pull out the croissant, and it is ice cold in the middle. Completely inedible.
Okay well at least the donut order can't be screwed up....
Wrong! This Dunkin branch is so exceptional and screwing up orders that they managed to put a chocolate glazed donut in the bag labeled "Boston Kreme".
The frustration with this branch is long gone. At this point all that is left is amusement. You would think all of these negative reviews would prompt some action from management, but I can safely confirm nothing has improved since the date of my first review (and the 9 prior visits before that).
As I drove to work this morning, all I could think about are the nurses at Morristown Memorial up the street, and how backed up their Emergency Room would be if Dunkin ever rolled out a product that required their managers and employees to use a pair of scissors as part of their...
Read moreI have given this location 3 visits in the morning. The first two visits, I attributed the slow service and poor management to "growing pains".
This was the third visit at 6:30am on a Friday. I still managed to get stuck there for 15min waiting for a medium coffee and a couple of donuts.
There were 3 employees at the time. I think one was a manager because he was called over to address an issue with one of the registers. One employee was making the hot foods and one was taking orders and making beverages. They were so backed up that people who had placed online orders came in and were waiting for their food, people were in line waiting to place their in-person orders, and people were waiting for their in-person orders.
This has been consistent with my experiences in the 2 previous visits. There is nobody for the convenience store portion. There has been times when a customer would want something from the convenience store and the employee taking orders and making beverages would have to leave to help the convenience store customer.
I cannot recommend this location. I never realized that a medium hot coffee would ever be a 15min endeavor. While the location is convenient to my morning commute, the service is...
Read moreI am increasingly concerned about the service at this location. On multiple occasions during my lunch break, I have encountered lines stretching to the door, while several employees retreat to the back rather than assisting. This consistently leaves a single staff member overwhelmed, attempting to both take orders and prepare drinks. As a customer with limited time, it is frustrating to spend my entire 30-minute break waiting, simply due to a lack of initiative and teamwork among the staff. This experience makes me reconsider whether it is worth returning...
