The food is very so-so. Boneless wings are mostly breading to the point of being chewy, hard and difficult to eat, with the Teryaki wings being tremendously salty. Hushpuppies are very dense and doughy inside. Catfish filets are good. The French fries are their own style, tasty and good if you get them while they are hot. Wait staff were very friendly, even though they were short one person. For some reason our order was brought to us one dish at the time by a very frustrated, unhappy cook. Having 5 at the table, this was a long process. Some food was not hot.
The interior of the restauraunt creates an extremely loud environment. We found it very difficult to hear each other and had to raise our voices a great deal to have a conversation. Space between tables is quite good and roomy.
I am MOST frustrated with the TOAST ticketing/billing system. DO NOT PAY USING THE QR CODE ON YOUR TICKET. The issue is partially my fault. Nevertheless, they could not resolve the issue and I was overcharged over $135 for our evening at the restauraunt. After paying using the QR code on my ticket, I discovered there was an alcoholic beverage added to my bill that wasn't our table's, an extra regular drink was charged and one order of boneless wings was charged as a 10 piece rather than a 5 piece. I brought this to my waitress' attention. She took my card. It was returned with a receipt showing the original ticket voided and I received a totally new "corrected" ticket. I paid the second ticket at the register.
I have now discovered TOAST DID NOT void the first ticket and TOAST has still charged me for over $135 dollars. You cannot speak with TOAST about the issue. TOAST simply refuses any assistance to the customer, whatsoever.
The Gatorhole contacted TOAST and verified the VOID from their side. My funds were returned to my account. I still will never pay using TOAST QR codes again, but I CERTAINLY appreciate The Gatorhole's response time and their time resolving the issue. These...
Read moreWe decided to bring the family to eat here since it was close to where we were staying. We were told 15-20 wait ended up being 30-45. No big deal we patiently waited. Finally sat down to eat and we wanted to be as fast as we could because we had after dinner plans, so we went ahead and ordered our food as soon as we ordered our drinks. This seemed like a huge inconvenience to our waitress but she took it anyway. Not once were we made aware that it could be a long time for food but we ended up sitting for an hour and a half before we got our appetizer (cheese sticks). The table behind us got there food about the same time. At this point the whole restaurant has food except our table. We waited 30 min after the last table got their food before we decided to finally leave after waiting almost 2 HOURS for our food. Keep in mind this is now 30 min after the restaurant is already closed. We told them we would just like to pay for our drinks and our appetizer. They made such a big deal about it saying our food was coming out soon. Keep in mind we were told this 20 min before this, too. They were extremely rude and ended up calling the cops on us because they wanted one in our group to pay for a pitcher of beer that he never even received. All in all I sat for over 2 hours never got a refill on my sweet tea and my 16 month old twins and another 3 year old little girl didn’t eat until almost midnight because we chose to sit down and eat at this restaurant and received the worst service I’ve ever received. 10/10 don’t recommend. I’m sure the only reason this place is open is because there is nothing else around but save yourself the headache and drive an extra 30...
Read moreClean nice restaurant, friendly staff, good service, cold beer. Issues: we came in on what happened to be apparently karaoke night, music and singer was blasted at near max volume. Other tables were covering their ears. Fries were okay, could do with the extra effort of making hand cut fries as a side, catfish were great, hush puppies were atrocious they are the ones you can get frozen in a bag at the dollar store (Savannah classics brand) undercooked and super greasy. Salad bar was very clean and well stocked great salad. Has a good shot at being very successful as it’s one of the only sit down places in the area. But has a long way to go to live up to the reputation of prior restaurants in that location. I will go back again possibly at a later date when I know there’s no music and menu changes...
