Family Chef — Restaurant in Morrison

I had probably the worst dining experience of my life here. It was a busy morning, but that does not excuse the lack of tableware, the fact that the table seated after us had their food before our table, or the plastic bread tie I found in my skillet after I had eaten some of it. We politely and quietly brought the bread tie to the managers attention, and she said nothing. Surprised by this, we tried to get her attention to come to our table. She rudely came to our table exasperated and said don't point at me when in fact we were pointing at our table. We then asked for the one plate out of 4 to be taken off our bill. We may as well have asked for this woman's first born child as she angrily marched away. We immediately got up from our table and asked to pay. When confronted about adjusting the bill, she kicked me out of the restaurant and made a big scene. I was not making anything an issue until that point. I told her she was a terrible person because she really is just based off this interaction. I was told I was banned from the restaurant all because I got a peice of plastic in my food and the worst service I've ever had. Banned or not, I'll never want to go back to this awful and...

One of the best dining experiences I've ever had, and I'm a foodie! It was an absolute pleasure to eat here. Not only was the service fast and very friendly, but the food was excellent! I was amazed as to how well this team worked together to make sure that the needs of their guest were met. The place was packed, and I even wittnessed the cook taking a lady's order who had just sat at the counter because she hadn't been waited on within a minute of sitting. And he served it to her as well. But what really made me have to do this review is that our waitress told us that they were understaffed by two. I thought if this place is this good understaffed I wonder how amazing they would be operating at their full potential. I think I just found my new favorite...

WOW!!! THAT WAS GOOOOD!! The 1st time here and I have to tell you the meal was great!! I myself had the sausage skillet with green peppers and onion. Also had a side of biscuits and gravy and Sausage links.. The vegetables were nice crisp and fresh in my skillet.. I'm a big biscuits and gravy guy. These were amazing! The American Fries with the biscuits and gravy were just as good.. My wife had the steak skillet which she gives a 10. The place was clean the people were friendly service service was prompt..Our total bill came up to $32.70. If you like Sterling Illinois mom's diner or Maple house you will love this place.
