K J's Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Morton Township

Great food and friendly staff but service is extremely slow. Only 12 tables and one waitress who also has to bus tables and cash out customers. In confusion she'll wait on people who just sat down while other customers have been waiting 20 minutes to place their order. I wouldn't recommend at peak meal times.

But what I can't understand is how 3 tables who came in after us, were waited on first (two of which got their food, ate, paid their bill, and left before we saw our plates). Poor food and service today. Usually love it. But today the server was more interested in visiting than service and the food was cold. Asked for a remake and they scraped out the insides of the food and re-served it in a different egg omelet outside. The bacon was too tough to eat. I politely paid my bill anyway and left without eating it. It's sad that it was such a poor experience today it's one of my favorite breakfast places. It will be awhile before I will go back. I ordered 1 of the specials, a sandwich and a bowl of 'chili'. Hubby had a sandwich and fries. The server was.. not friendly. As we were obviously not people she knew.
