"Tha Gap" Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Mosheim

🤩🥸. Update: the food here is excellent. BROCCOLI BITES are a must. The brisket wrap was a home run, in addition to the wings batting .500 !! The Gap is a (not so) hidden gem! If you’re from the area you know it well, this review is for other newbies, looking for food and fun options. It’s easy to drive right by The Gap without notice…. A low, nondescript beige building with few windows. But enter through that solid white door and be amazed! We stopped by during the week, were welcomed by super nice regulars, and enjoyed a chat with the owner. Family friendly during the day/eve and clearly this place rocks on the weekends!! Quite the variety of entertainment, newly covered pool tables, dart boards, a few cool games, several big TVs for sports viewing. They even have a stage/bands and a dance floor. Apparently until recently it had a much rougher reputation, until the new owner cleaned it up a bit. Non smoking on the inside, and the outside area in the back is awesome…. Picnic tables, corn hole, a killer bon fire area, and surplus parking. They have some solid food choices (their wings rocked, still crisp even with sauce), and we are looking forward to their next monthly seafood boil. So the first time I went here the bar tender was extremely rude and shorted us on our food. We went back after that bar tender was let go and had such a great time! The food is absolutely AMAZING 👏 😋 😍 I am currently addicted to the broccoli cheddar bites and the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls 😋 😀 🤤 I've also tried the Philly cheesesteak, fries, chicken tenders, cheese sticks and the chicken nachos and was not disappointed with any of it! But I 1000000% recommend the broccoli cheddar bites and Philly cheesesteak egg rolls 😋 😀 😍 🤤 They have pool tables in there and darts so there is definitely something to do and plenty of TVs to watch sports and music videos on. They also do different things throughout the week on different nights such as karaoke, pool tournaments, Texas holdem, live bands, lingerie contests and more! It's definitely a place I recommend, even if you wanna go just for the food! Miss Wendy will hook you up with good food and the owner will give you a good laugh by bringing out a bubbly personality! And Tessa, the bar tender is quick to see what you want and smile while she's doing it! I never visited the place, but read great things. I would like to personally thank Kay and the guy Jeremy(who brought me my food order) for assisting me last night with making sure I got some food, when I had absolutely no way to get any and nobody else would assist. Doordash, Grubhub, Uber Eats, Uber, and Lyft had failed me and the cheapest taxi was $80. I am not from TN, but have been all over the USA, as a truck driver, but got put out of service at the weigh station up the road in Mohawk. Contrary to alot of people’s belief, there are still some awesome people out here with great hearts. I can’t lie, I shedded a few tears over this to witness the fact that strangers will help you vs. the people you personally know.
