We met my Aunt, who's from Little Suamico, WI & cousin who's from Petaluma, CA for brunch/lunch. My friend and I came from Ojibwa,WI. I haven't seen my cousin in years. My cousin is here to see his Mom, my Aunt. So we chose to meet in between Green Bayish and Ojibwa. Anyway we chose Gorskis to meet, eat, and visit. It was a great choice! The food was delicious, aside from a little mix up of which dish/who got what type of eggs. The service was excellent 👌! Our server was Laura W. She was terrific! She tolerated my Aunt who was a little rude with her pointing and trying to get Laura's attention while Laura was trying to concentrate on something else. Once we paid the bill we wanted a picture of our little group. I had asked Laura if she could take a moment, come outside with us and take a picture of us people's and our dog. She very willingly obliged, liked our dog, asked what breed she is and her name. Coincidentally enough Laura showed us a picture of her dog who shared the same name as ours, Bella! Awesome 👌! Now about the food. That's where I give 4 out of 5 stars. The food was terrific. The cooks messed up the eggs on my cousins and my orders. He ordered scrambled and I ordered over medium. When they brought the orders out they had the scrambled on mine and over medium on cousins. Not a big deal, they took the 2 orders back and made it right. I asked for onions IN my hash browns and they were laid on top. Again not a big deal but I asked for them to be cooked IN the hash browns, not placed on top, semantics right? I also would've liked a little more sausage gravy with the biscuits. I know I could've asked for more and didn't. Just prefer a bit more gravy when the order is prepared and served. Everything was very plentiful and tasty. No complaints at all about the quality or taste of any of our orders. If we're ever in that area again, will certainly try to stop and...
Read moreThis was my second visit to Gorski’s. The first time was for dinner and this time for lunch. The staff is absolutely wonderful! The waitresses are very polite, efficient and friendly. The exterior is beautifully decorated right now for fall and the interior was very clean and spacious.
The food served is what gets my one star rating. The cheese curds were incredibly greasy and for nine dollars, not nearly as many as any other place with the serve for less. I ordered a $10 jumbo shrimp meal. The shrimp were definitely not jumbo in anyway, and I consider myself a connoisseur of shrimp. They were medium at best. The shrimp sauce was prepackaged from Heinz or kraft and tasted like straight vinegar so I couldn’t even use it. One of the four shrimp was not cleaned and I could not eat it. The side of potato salad was very large, but nothing to really talk about and my guest couldn’t even eat hers because it was tiny little pieces of potato and not very happy appetizing. Coleslaw was even worse and I don’t know if there was any kind of sauce or mixture on the cabbage. The dinner roll was hard and cold which had it not been could’ve saved a whole meal for me because I love a great roll.
The waitress did not ask how our meal was, but a gentleman, who I can only assume is an owner, came and asked us. I said in rather monotone, it was OK, and he simply picked up the dishes and left.
For dinner we had had their several weeks ago was just as unappealing as this but I wanted to give them another chance in hopes that I would find my next meal to be much better. I would definitely not recommend the place, and the Suggestions I would have would be one skip all of the outside decorations and put the money into better food and to find out from the customers why they didn’t enjoy your food, listen to them...
Read moreYou know we have given gorskis a fair shot. Honestly, the old fashions are ok, we returned for a meal despite the fact that four out of six of our group got violently ill in October with GI symptoms within 24 hours of meeting and eating at the restaurant, with a complaint that was never returned or addressed by management. Why we would ever think to go back is beyond me. (Background we are a group of 2-3 couples that meet once every month or every other month for drinks and/or dinner) Despite the probable food poisoning Mosinee dining options are limited and we figured it was a fluke let’s try it again. Honestly our server was amazing, we got our drinks in minutes, food service was prompt. Everyone at the table was super surprised. Gorskis has been here for five years and we have never had such a prompt waitress. But then another server at the end of dinner decided to engage the couple we were dining with in conversation asking how their parents were. Needless to say it was a mistaken identity and the other waitress ( again not ours) went on to assume that we were this other couples parents. Needless to say we do have an age difference but not a generational age difference. The one time we (at least so far) had good food, good service, and ok drinks we were insulted by staff. Needless to say no...
