This is a great restaurant in a small country town (Mound City, Mo). They have an extensive menu from sandwiches, burgers and steaks to seafood and pasta with roasting daily specials. The serving sizes are generous and the prices are VERY reasonable. Good if all prepared from scratch on site and was very tasty. We had the shrimp tortellini (special) and a smothered chicken breast (regular menu) with mozzarella sticks and onion rings as an appetizer. For dessert we had chocolate peanut butter pie and a strawberry cheesecake. The tortellini was very good with nice plump well cooked shrimp in a creamy sauce that filled a bowl. The smothered chicken breast was wonderful as well. The tender piece of chicken that was slightly blackened/spicy with a provolone sauce over the top served with honey dijon roasted brussel sprouts. They have a full bar and on the night we were there had a trivia contest that we took part in. Staff was very friendly and efficient and everyone else in the was quite friendly as well. Prices were terrific with most entries in the 12 to 15 dollar range with some seafood and steaks around 20 bucks. The space is large with plenty of parking and multiple TVs with sports playing and a hunting lodge vibe. Nothing fancy but certainly comfortable and welcoming. Family friendly even with the bar there and a hidden gem in Western MO for sure!

Kendall was amazing! From the time we walked in till the time we left she provided exceptional service. We were passing through on our way to KC and found this spot on Google- glad we did! We will probably make this our go to stop on this annual road trip! Good was fresh and delicious! The Ranch was the best I’ve had- the BBQ sauce Amazing!! We left with some home made jam I can’t wait to try! If you are in the area, i highly recommend making the stop!!

We had a great experience!!! I had the all you can eat peel and eat shrimp and my husband had the all you can eat crab legs! Everything was served hot and buttery!!! These entrees came with baked potatoe and another side! I highly recommend making a reservation on a Thursday night when this meal is offered! Service; our waitress was on top of it! She kept our drinks filled and table cleaned! Atmosphere: relaxing and inviting!!! Play a game of Keno!

We went for a birthday dinner. Upon entering we noticed it was busy but not overflowing. When asked if we should seat ourselves or wait we were told to seat ourselves. There were four four top tables open. We chose one and sat down. Twice we asked for menus. After twenty five minutes we left with out contact, menus, water, anything we left. I would have left no stars but couldn’t have left this missive. Also. Went to Quackers and had the best steak I’d had in ages.

I was asked for a date of the visit, it was July 22 2023. we did not have a reservation as it was a spur of the moment decision to go out rather then stay in. We did see it was busy and that is why we asked what the preference was (wait or seat self). We picked the four top that was to the left of (if your facing) the bar and by a door way. There were plenty of people who walked by us and we did ask twice for help and were told someone would be with us. it is a lovely dining room and had a great vibe, it just was not on the A...

On our way back from KC we stumbled upon this amazing hidden gem. This is a place off the beaten path, but when you get there the environment, outdoor atmosphere and food makes u not want to leave. They cook EVERYTHING from scratch! Breads, sauces, buns, fresh locally grown produce and use nothing from a can! I ordered the mushroom & Swiss with a side of honey roasted brussel sprouts and Tim ordered the sourdough burger. HOLY MARY OF JESUS the flavor was a 10/10. You could tell within the 1st bite that the bread was homemade, the produce was fresh and the sauce was something you'll never find in a bottle. We need more places like this around here. This is definitely a place u need to visit and I promise you'll love every bite. I even asked if they were opening a 2nd location I'd love to put them in this awesome building I know of in EssexšŸ˜‚. When I say RUN don't walk, you're gonna be upset it even took you that long...
