They get the basics right. Quick service. Good prices. The food was hot. It was standard dinner food. Probably a little better than some. The thing was, I did not feel wanted there. We walked in and no one greeted us. We waited about 2 minutes and someone rushed by and said they will be with us in a moment. Then they said follow me. Sat us down. Still no greeting. So we got our food. It was good. Went to pay. Waited a minute or two by the register. There were two people behind the counter. No one said anything. They waited for someone who was rushing around to check us out. There was nothing fundamentally wrong with this dinner experience. We just got the feeling we were bothering them and not particularly welcome. This was the second time we have come here. The first time they were close to closing and did not serve us. So, we have given them two chances - felt like a bother both time. The food is good, but we will probably not...
Read moreWe went here for breakfast on a saturday morning, it was quite busy but we were seated right away, the menu was really good for selection and prices were really decent as well.. Staff was very friendly and prompt service. French toast was very good and the home fries were amazing. The only complaint would be the bathroom's, they need a major overhaul into the 2000's... toilets were nasty along with the rest of the fixtures. The bathroom is a very important part of a restaurant, they say you can tell a lot about the kitchen by how clean and maintained the bathrooms are. I really hope that's not true because I would never eat there again if the kitchen looked like that bathroom. Luckily we used the facilities after eating. I wondered why I never saw anyone go into the bathrooms besides us, the locals must have known...
Read moreVery pleased! Cute little place - very clean - HUGE menu - good prices. Prompt, friendly service - everyone seemed to know each other! Great French fries, a ton of wonderful homemade pies (we had cheesecake and peanut butter cream - mmm!). The ribeye was ‘good’, cheesesteak was great and so was the chicken sandwich. They had fried Cali flower - that was great - rarely see that on a menu. They had FANTASTIC coffee too - that’s often hard to find. The food came out very quickly - everything was steaming hot! Family-owned - the menu said they’ve been in business since 1933? Why in the world would you go to a chain restaurant when there are little gems like this around! Located on 743 (set back from the road a bit) - we’ve driven past this place for years and never knew it was there! Not far from Hershey so we will...
