I am writing this review for the owners. Today, September 26, 2023 at 3 o'clock we came here to eat at what WAS our favourite restaurant. The waitress brought the chips, which were in very small pieces. We ordered a small dish of cheese sauce which was...$6 bucks for a VERY small bowl of cheese sauce. (I have included a photo of the cheese sauce bowl so you can see the size of it.) We ordered drinks which had an odd flavour to them. The Bloody Mary was too spicy. The Margarita was made from a mix, not fruit juices. The drinks were $10 each and the Bloody Mary was TINY. In the middle of our meal our first waitress left. She had seemed very competent and she was fast. Then we got a new waitress.... I'm not sure how to describe her except that she had a nose ring like a pig. We waited.... 40 minutes? to have our food delivered to the table. The food was cold. I was hungry so I still ate. The other food was not eaten at all. They thankfully, refunded us for one plate. I asked for a to go box and bag to take what was left of my food. The waitress brought a box but no bag. She left the bill but never came back for it. The person I was with had to go to go to the desk to pay the ticket. At the desk she saw our waitress chatting with a male member of staff. She told the waitress again that I needed a bag. But STILL she didn't bring it. The restaurant was NOT busy at this time. There were only 3 other tables with people eating at them. We have never experienced being so throroughly IGNORED by this staff. I left my box of food on the table with no bag. We did NOT leave a tip. It was EXTREMELY poor service. It is sad because Los Compadres went from being our FAVOURITE restaurant to being somewhere we may not go again in...
Read moreWe love the one in Lebanon! So we decided to try the one in Old Hickory. We went on Cinco de Mayo. We knew it would be crowded so called ahead and they said we could make reservations which we did. We got there 5 minutes before our reservations time and were told they weren't taking reservations and they didn't know who had told us they were. That's ok, after all it was Cinco de Mayo, so we put our name on the list. When we were seated, we waited, maybe 15 minutes, the waitress came quickly to take our drink orders. I ordered a diet coke and the other 3 ordered a pitcher of margaritas. My drink was served and our food order was taken. Maybe 10 minutes later the waitress came and told us it would be just a few more minutes until their margaritas would be ready. Another 10 minutes past and they delivered our food and told us the margaritas would be out shortly, the bartender was slammed. My husband finally flagged down our waitress and told her to forget the margaritas, we were finished and wanted our bill. I guess we should have asked to speak to the manager but we didn't, after all they were busy. You would have thought we would have at least gotten a cheese dip comped, not. Not sure we will go back there. However, we will definitely go back to the...
Read moreMy chicken enchiladas had half of a razor blade in it . I bit down into it possibly swallowing part of it before realizing what it was. Manager acted like it was nothing and refused to pay for my X-ray I took to make sure I didn’t swallow part of the blade because it was broken . I first thought the crunch I felt was part of the tortilla chip I had just eaten and then 2 nd bite and felt it again pulled it out and was a broken razor blade. It also chippped my tooth . The restaurant replied to the review by saying they offered to pay for the X-ray once the bill was received. However that’s not true . I was told the owner would call me and never did as of 9 days after the incident . I left multiple messages for him and even went to the restaurant and they said AGAIN the owner would call me . But has not . I’m actually still waiting on the bill myself though . But no one ever told me to bring in the bill . Just that the owner would call me regarding the insurance and bill And the TO GO order was picked up BY MY SON . Not a stranger . So I’m not sure what it being to go had to do...
