China House — Restaurant in Mount Pleasant Township

I hate to give any type of negativity, because we have enjoyed the food over all other Chinese restaurants (and regular restaurants in the area) for years.

They are adding with new menu items and expanding, which is fantastic.

But lately, the food is just not the same. It has not been cooked like it regularly is, and the taste is awful. We've given it chance after chance over the last few months, and each visit it has not gotten any better. Im not sure if we will continue to purchase,as it is very dissapointing to spend our hard earned money on food that is not what we are expecting and sometimes, completely different than the recipe should be. For example, We had ordered General Tso's, which we like extra spicy.. But when we got home, it was a completely different recipe. The sauce was oily and so hot and bitter that no one could eat it and it had to be thrown away. We love this place, but even my 2 and 8 year old will point out that the food tastes completely wrong.

I'm hoping that they choose to go back to the regular cooks, Tony's cooking is the absolute best! If not, we'll unfortunately have to...

Ordered pickup on a Saturday at approximately 6pm. I prefer General Tsos(sp?) to have a little crunch to it. This was soaked in sauced. And for ordering the heat to be in the middle, there was no heat. I expect a couple red chili’s to kick it up to next level of heat. Also, I ordered fried rice. This was the least flavorful fried rice I’ve ever had. No peas or carrots. It was just rice with some fried rice flavoring added to it. The only positive point I can make is that the portion of chicken was stuffed full into the container. Not that that’s anything unusual. Follow my reviews as I will try the Chinese restaurant out of Youngwood. I work at the wonderful OLD SONY plant (y doesn’t anyone refer to it as the old VW plant?, kids are like VW plant? what are talking about?). Focus Dave! Living in Greensburg I guess I’m spoiled with a couple good consistent Chinese restaurants. Can only imagine what it’s like to live in Pitts. So that’s my review and ramblings. Enjoy! Becareful bones all through the general tso 🐔 Chicken so gross everything taste the same my fiancé cut his lip after eating there food Looked like they just torn roasted chicken apart mushed up an fried all the gristle an bone all through the chicken beef broccoli was ok eggs rolls great an fried rice Chicken very Questionable and now after eating it we’re all sitting back worried on what we may have eaten after finding these bones and after seeing his lip cut open and it bled for a good while and it’s still bleeding as I’m writing this review I read a lot of these reviews and someone said that they ordered food from here all the time I think it was terrible its the worst Chinese food I think I’ve ever had other than the fried rice and an eggroll which I could’ve made that at home for less than $40 something $$$ My fiancé was starving now his stomach is in knots wondering what could of been in the food that cut his lip so bad .
