Rough Cut Tavern — Restaurant in Mount Pleasant Township

Always love this location when I just need a getaway but not too far from home. The food is always on point, Maria always does a superb job even when it started out slow and then picked up pretty fast. She poked her head in on my girlfriend and I between running around to her other tables and the folks at the bar. For a Wednesday it felt like a Friday night without the loud obnoxious crazy music. Whoever was cooking did a fantastic job (you helped me look good when I hyped the food up to my girlfriend who has never been here 💚). I had the cowboy burger with fries nacho cheese added( want fair food fries but not fair season yet COME ON DOWN), she had the butter garlic parm wings which where crispy and delicious, we added the appetizer platter to try the items I’ve never had and again delicious! From the fried pickle spears pizza logs and dill cheese curds I have to choose the curds as my favorite ❤️ we topped it off with the molten lava cake for desert and we really couldn’t savory it because it is just that good! 10/10...

If you aren’t a local or regular you can forget about good service, bartenders were at the corner with the regulars chatting it up while we waited to get served and ignored , I tried to strike up a conversation several times but the bartenders were not friendly and I would think this being a country bar they would be happy to have new customers but that’s not true here, I’m in the biz so the cost of drinks was good and if the bartenders were more personable and attentive I would have tipped more then 20% Don’t order mixed shots, they are all mixers, if you want a shot do a straight bourbon, tequila or whatever and they are 1oz instead of a 1.5 Oz shot which is standard I won’t be back and I am local, but would rather take a 30 minute drive and go elsewhere where my business...

We went here a couple weeks ago as a night out for drinks and it was a nice vibe. The bartender was great too. Just ordered food for the first time tonight as a pick up order ( hot wings, some type of rub wing and hot pepper cheese balls). It was all for a great price and the food was done quickly, just waiting for us when we walked in, yes it was still very warm too. The wings were the best, and they were traditional wings which was 10x better. The cheese balls were delicious. Definently our go to now. We're new to the area and this place and the hot dog shack is our favs. I also want to add the bar changed the layout and I like it this way better then the previous. Nice country,...
