Hardee’s — Restaurant in Mount Pleasant

This is our favorite Hardee's in the area. Preferred over Ottumwa in regards to friendliness, food quality, cleanliness, and overall service. On this particular day, the woman at the window was so patient. I was at the drive thru trying to hear 3 different people on my phone tell me what they wanted, asking for additional items and then switching them (you understand if you have children). This nice lady taking our order, laughed and joked with me while she patiently helped me along making suggestions and being honest about wait times for certain items. I cannot convey the appreciation I have for her quality customer service. Also.....if you ask for ketchup, horsey sauce, etc...... YOU ACTUALLY get it! Nothing makes me more irate than to be offered or ask and PAY for these items only to not received them! Thank you staff at Mt P Hardee's. We will continue to drive the 25 min to visit your establishment for you service and food! It's worth the drive...

When we got to Hardee's, there was only one customer ahead of us; we were order 89. After a pretty normal wait time, they called order 88, thwn after a few more minutes, they called 90, then several groups came in almost all at once. All od those grouos ordered and were served (all they way through 97), before we heard them start putting our order together.

In the chaos, it seems the kitchen had cleared our order, so the front had to tell them, item by item, what to make. Once everything else was together, the woman said, "I'm still waiting on a five piece." meaning the five piece chicken strips we ordered. So, after the kitchen cooked the strips, we finally got to eat; by then, the onion rings were chewy.

For one sandwich, we asked no pickles, but when we got out food, it came with pickles. The person who asked for no pickles has a deadly reaction to cucumbers and pickles and, thankfully, realized there were pickles as soon as they...

My husband and I went through the drive thru at aprox 10:40. Today. 6/29/25. We ordered three items, 1 was a special order. There were 4 cars ahead of us. The order taker, verified the special request. Then repeated the order back and asked if all was correct. It was. We then proceeded directly to the window.The other vehicles were already gone. The young man gave us the total collected and let us know that the special order would take a couple of minutes and asked us to pull forward. In under 2 minutes a young woman came out and handed us our order. She was very polite, smiled, saying "good morning, heres your order and have a nice day." The order was complete, correct and had the appropriate number of napkins, and condiments requested. Note. I did not evaluate the inside as we were not eating in .

I can state without a doubt, that the young manand lady who took care of us did everything by the book. Exactly the way it should...
