Shokudo Express — Restaurant in Mountain City

This place makes no sense! First, the vegetables (carrots/mushrooms)are clearly canned. Where are all the other vegetables that typically come in hibachi? Secondly, the meat was way overly cooked and probably cooked multiple times throughout the day before it got to our stale styrofoam to go boxes. Thirdly, they served fortune cookies that were stale. Aren’t fortune cookies Chinese anyhow? Forth, $25 dollars is not worth the little we had received. I wish I would’ve read the reviews prior to as it’s all the same complaints. The replies from the owner, worker, who knows who, reported the food is not good early in the morning or late at night; however, If you’re running a business it should be the same no matter what time of day. I’m sorry but someone needs to step...

How is this place staying in business? I picked a meal that didn’t include mushrooms! When it was delivered WITH mushrooms and I questioned the clerk he said “just because it doesn’t say mushrooms doesn’t mean they’re not in there, you should ask”. Then he offered to pick them out for me….with attitude! In any case……the two of us (without drinks) was over $30! Small portions and very poor quality! One & Done!!

“So done with people” you chose a customer service industry…..maybe it’s not too late for Veterinary Medicine.

At least I was calm and courteous…..which is what you were supposed to be (customer service). The bottom line is, mushrooms or not, the food wasn’t good and the service was terrible! ...

The chicken was so hard and chewy my dog had a hard time chewing it, the zucchini was undercooked and the sauce was thin as water. I called and asked about a refund or if there was any solution and the young man on phone was extremely rude and blamed it on us living 30 min away. The chicken was old and stale and overcooked, driving home was not the cause of the horrible meal. His rude attitude put in stone I will never spend my money again at this “family owned establishment “ where there is no professional manager to deal....
