Ma and Pa’s Family Style Restaurant — Restaurant in Mountain Grove

My wife and I stopped at the Mountain Grove Ma & Pa's recently. We had stopped at the restaurant in Mansfield, and sat in there for about 5 minutes, there were two other tables with people drinking coffee. It was very quiet and pretty chilly inside and no one ever came out to serve us. After 5 minutes we looked at each other and said okay, let's go. As we continued East on 60 we thought we'd check in Mountain Grove and lo and behold another Ma & Pa's. We are so glad we stopped here. Our breakfast was hot and delicious, we were served by a very friendly face, and the baked goods are a big plus. We will be making this a regular stop for us on our trips to Ava to see the kids. This was a disaster. First it took waitress along time to come to table. Then when she took our order and a long wait for food. They gave us wrong order and when we let them know the waitress was rude. Then after a long wait again the waitress took my silverware and my husband had to got get some. Then instead of giving discount for their screw up they raised my bill. This was the worst place to eat that I've been to in a long time. I do not recommend this place. Way over priced!!! Cost me $10 for a "special omelet" that had canned mushrooms and frozen peppers and onions in it. My kids wanted pancakes and sausage, they charge $2.49 for EACH ONE piece of sausage. Coffee was horrible and the service was worse than horrible.
