What a cute little place. We went for lunch, take out. Parking was ample, there's a green area to let our little dog go potty. Make sure you bring potty bags. No bags provided but there was a trash. Porta potties are out front for customer use. They were clean and fresh. No bugs either! No restroom inside for customers, only employees. The outside is adorable, inside feels small, had about 10 tables maybe. It had a modular building feel to it. I wasn't super impressed with the interior. But honestly it's not as important as the quality of service, cleanliness and food quality. They mostly met my expectations for those 3, the atmosphere inside didn't really matter. The outside seating area was great. Though I suggest they screen in the patio area to keep the bugs out. Flies were abundant, so much so that the 8 year old boy at the table near us asked how many different species of flies there were! He started pointing out all the different color flies that kept landing on his rather annoyed and uninterested mom. Kind of sad really. A great teaching and observation moment completely ignored & missed. Not to mention the encouragement of a clearly bright young mind. Oh well. Nevertheless, it was a great experience! The ladies inside, one in particular, were hopping! Handing out menus & taking orders as we came through the door and stood in line. While at the same time taking completed orders to the tables. After giving her our order we'd take a seat at a table inside or wait outside. Gave her a good tip! Not sure what the other brown haired, a bit older, lady was doing. Not much really. Poured herself a glass of lemonade, talked to a few people and walked away. There were 3 plates at the window ready to go to a table, but she ignored them. Perhaps she was on break. The burgers were really good. Hubby said cooked perfectly but I felt they needed a little more time on the grill for my liking. They were just a little pink in the center. I prefer mine all gray. Not to the point I wouldn't still eat it though. Fries were like eating limp noodles! But tasted really good. I'd 100% return off it were just my hubby and I again. Pricing was a bit much. $46 for the cheeseburger and fries meal, bacon and cheeseburger meal & 1 iced tea. With highest % tip on the screen, which I think was 25%. If I were feeding my family of 4 that one meal would have been nearly $100. We couldn't afford to eat here. Their shakes are on the dry erase board. No price provided. When I asked, she quoted $8! Wow. I would pay $5, never $8! That's ludicrous! I suggest crisper fries, larger drinks (fast food small size cup filled to the top with ice doesn't give much drink), and cooking the burgers 1 min more. After that it'll be 5 star. I've attached pics of hubby's bacon cheeseburger, my cheeseburger & the meal with...
Read moreThe food was ok, pretty standard bar food. Burgers looked good, and the soups we tried were nice, too. The woman with locs is always running her behind off and does a great job. Unfortunately, twice in one weekend this last visit, we were served by someone else. An older, short haired woman. Ordering took a very long time because she was struggling with the handheld ordering machine. They also have an item on the menu called Taco Totchados that is not a common item and didn't have a description, when I asked what it came with she curtly said, " I don't know, taco stuff." I was disappointed when I got it that there were ingredients, like jalapeños, that I don't like and had to pick off because she couldn't just tell me what was in it. The meat was also way overdone and and the only thing taco about the dish was that it was served with salsa and sour cream, jalapeños were the only topping aside from cheese. If your staff doesn't want to learn the menu, then just add descriptions so no one has to guess. And maybe keep the slow server with the surly attitude and lack of menu knowledge in the...
Read moreI wanted to love this place so bad. It’s a cute little spot with a bar and kitchen. There was live music when we happened to stop by. Other than the mosquitos, sitting outside was quite nice. However, the food did take more than 45 minutes for a burger. The fries were not edible and looked like the grease needed to be changed. The burger was just okay ($13 so typical burger prices). The apple pie was pricey at $7 served cold and probably would have tasted much better warm. The french vanilla shake albeit pricey too at $8, was probably the best thing we ordered off the menu. My spouse got two beers and they were both flat. We asked about the beer and the bartender said it was the pump so basically all the beers were flat but they were still charging full price. Sadly these little things add up which made the experience and food/drinks a...
