Update 9/9/2020 Play with Orange Sky Covid-19 Since COVID-19 opening on this golf course, the price has gone up, haven't played here often. Yesterday, my friend booked online special for $38 per person walking, so we went. It happened to have Orange Sky due to fire smoke everywhere, but the air was quite nice and the grass was actually wet. We really like this golf course, it's quite long for us short distance players but it's well kept even with COVID-19. One little problem, MOSQUITOS are everywhere and we did get bit LOL. I added some pictures of the whole golf course with orange sky but hole #11. I used the SwingU software which is quite nice for GPS distance and map, although the distance was not extremely accurate but we're not that precise ourselves so it's OK.

Update 10/2/19 For $23-28 round of walking, this golf course now is the best so far in the bay area. I went in through the entrance where the guard was extremely hostile last time to meet a very courteous and pleasant one this time, what a great improvement I thought. The golf course is green and beautiful. I and my friends were amazed at the fairway, the grass is so nice and green, we felt like we're walking on carpet, the soil is soft and grass is thick. It's only 6300-6600 yards dependent upon white to blue but it's quite challenging. We're all agreed that it's much better than Shorelines, soon to be gone Santa Clara and SJ muni. It was a Weds afternoon, we could finish the round in 4 hours. The sand traps are every where around the greens but the sands are easy to play, plenty of them. Yes, it's quite windy in some holes like the Shorelines. The greens are well taken care and extremely fast IMHO, I had 3 putted greens quite easily. Some narrow fairways and quite a few doglegged right and left which make the golf course very challenging. The more holes we played the more we're impressed with the golf course unlike the last time we're here. What an amazing improvement. We didn't see any golf carts the last time we were here, now I saw quite a few of them, it's $16 per person but not many people are riding as I've seen because the golf course is quite walkable.

We came here for $26 golf sales, it’s now opened to public, I got the runaround to get to the place, directions guided to turn before Lockheed Martin entrance, the left entrance was block and the 2 guards were extremely hostile towards my mistake. So the only way to come in is from the front, the guards were nice here unlike the other 2. The golf course was terrible even for $21, since I booked online, no $5 discount refunded. It’s ok, it’s still cheap until we teed off. Only walking since I’ve seen no carts anywhere. The greens were aired and sands only. The fairways are full of muds and not well kept. So what makes a golf course great? Layout, fairways and greens, this golf course layout is ok, tons of dogleg right, left, the par 3s are mostly long. The whole golf course is about 6300 yards. I’m not sure if I would come here again, for $33 with cart at Santa Clara is much better deal and the fairways...

Played The Golf Club at Moffett Field today. I am and born and raised here and I cannot recall playing this course before (very similar in design to Sunnyvale Muni, Shoreline Golf Links, and the old Palo Alto Muni) but definitely my first time to the property.

Perfect course for all skill levels, AND THEY LOVE supporting juniors and the tournaments!

Great practice range and short game area with big putting green.

Fast but smooth greens with nice slope! Need to keep ball below the hole. And most greens still have traditional turtle back design and ball easily rolls of edges!

6500 from tips but very difficult off tee to take the best lines, have to play very smart off tee for position.

Tee to green course was in excellent shape even after rain, carts were allowed in about 90% of most holes. Maybe 2-3 holes in fairway areas were marked off due to heavy water, but very easy to travel. Saw about 7-8 maintenance guys working on different projects to help mud/flood relief in areas.

Stopped for food and drinks at the turn and was welcomed by 2-3 staff members ready to serve us. Excellent service, friendly staff, and great food and drinks!

Overall I had a great experience, best I’ve had in long time locally. Staff and patrons were very nice and welcoming, and weather was great for final day of year Dec 31 24 And shot 74 😁, best...

This is the second time I am writing a review about this golf course. Again, it is not related the course itself, it is related to the course management and staff.

Our 9/21 tee time was canceled because of the course's operational failure to properly shut down their discontinued third-party booking system, Quick18. As customer, we were penalized for their system error (resulting in an invalid double booking), which ruined our Sunday golf plan.

In an effort to apologize, the Head Professional of the course offered a future 20% discount via the cancelation email.

When we returned on 9/28 to use this compensatory offer, the pro shop staff refused. The guy offered multiple, contradictory excuses (e.g., "price already discounted," then "You are Flight-Card holder," despite us booking a public rate). The interaction concluded with the staff stating, "Whatever, I won't give you the discount."

This goes beyond a discount issue; it is a severe lapse of integrity. Receiving a formal apology and guarantee from the Head Professional, only to have it casually dismissed by front-line staff, makes the initial email feel like a deceptive gesture.

The course management's word holds zero...

Nice course with some difficult holes. It was windy but would be a great place to play on hot days, since it will be cooler with the breeze from the Bay. Next time I will bring bug spray because there were a lot of mosquitoes. I was disappointed that the Grill closed so early. We had a 2 PM tee time, and when we came in at the turn, a little after 4, the Grill was already closed. We couldn't even get any water. I wish we would have known they closed so early so we could have stocked up before we went out. If there was a sign posted with the hours I missed it, however the website says the Grill is "open the same hours as the club shop" so a bit confusing. All in all I would play here again but would certainly try for earlier in the day. I booked exactly 2 weeks out (which is all the website allows) but the earliest tee time I could get was 2 PM, so next time I will try to call.
