Twist Ice Cream — Restaurant in Mundy Charter Township

I've been coming to Twist all my life. Since before I can remember, actually. I grew up on a nearby farm, and we'd ride our horses up here every so often for a delicious treat.

Throughout the years, the staff may have changed, the menu updated... But the best things about Twist have always stayed the same. The people they hire are always fast and friendly. Always very polite. The portions are beyond generous. A large soft serve typically towers 12 inches above your cone, it's rediculous in the best way... And of course, THE ICE CREAM. Twist has always had the best soft serve money can buy. I love ice cream, and I travel a lot. The ice cream here has always been the best I've ever had.

I recently stopped by this local ice cream shop and was really impressed! They offer a great selection of flavors—everything from the classics to some fun, unique options you don’t see everywhere. Whether you’re into fruity sorbets, rich chocolates, or dairy-free alternatives, there’s something for everyone.

The prices are also super reasonable, especially for the quality and portion sizes. It’s rare to find a place where you feel like you’re getting great value and great taste. The staff were friendly, patient, and happy to be there.

The ice cream itself is good and very generous in any size serving you get, tho I Do Not Recommend getting the hard chocolate shell on any of their many menu choices, as both times we've been there and bought ice cream from them, the chocolate hard shell tasted just like wax, and Not like chocolate at all!!! Yuck!!! Scrape the hard shell into the garbage, you just paid for, and enjoy the rest of the yummy ice cream sundae. Just ask for the chocolate or fudge sauce, and skip the hard shell. Apparently only Dairy Queen employees can get the hard shell to taste good. Just sayin' the truth. Their ice cream temperature could be...
