I rarely write reviews, but the experience I just had requires sharing. Let me paint a picture:
Visualize a hard working American factory worker. I spend four (sometimes more) hours of strenuous activity while determining the perfect place to go for lunch break; the thirty minutes of bliss I get a day to spend away from the workplace.
After a half day of thought, it is decided that Subway, of all the other restaurants, could satisfy the glorious nutritional value I needed to keep the American dream alive.
It is 9:12 PM. A quick google shows that the Subway, located at 5524 NW Broad Street in Murfreesboro, TN, is open until 10:00 PM. Just to be sure, I called the Subway. A happy associate by the name of Haley answers the phone. Do not be fooled by the seemingly caring tone of voice…
“Hello! This is Haley with Subway on NW Broad Street, how can I help you!?”
“Hello Haley! I was just calling to confirm that your location will be open until 10PM tonight?”
“Why yes we will be!” Haley answered without hesitation.
“Fantastic! I will be there in a few minutes! Thank you Haley!” I responded excitedly.
It is now 9:20 PM. I arrived at Subway. Upon walking up to the door, a small handwritten note is scribbled in red marker.
“We will be closing at 9PM EVERYDAY FOR NOW ON.” As I peered through the locked door three Subway associates snickered at me through the glass.
I raised my hands in question, wondering why Haley lied to me on the phone.
Haley gestured a tear falling down her face mockingly through the window.
I threw my hands in anger gesturing a few signs of my own. I went to the closest place I could for my lunch break. I was late back to work.
That will be my last Subway experience. Thank you...
Read moreThe owner is terrible at this location. I placed an online order at 8pm yesterday only to get there and the store was closed with no warning or sign up. I went in today to ask if I could get my order because it was paid for online and the manager said there was no order placed and they close at 8pm.
When the website and door both say 9pm as the closing time. He would not give me my order as I had already paid for it. The way the owner spoke to me was terrible and he did not care for customer service at all. He was the rudest store owner I had ever encountered. I asked him if they could at least change the hours on their door since I understand that the online information may not be easy to change.
He said he don't care because that's how things go at this store there's nothing that needs to be changed about it, they can decide to close whenever they want to. It's sad because I actually liked this location but over the past year things have definitely changed, the owner has brought this location down. I will be sure to drive further to give my business to another location that cares enough to at least either refund their customer for food they did not receive from their order being placed online or to at least give them the order...
Read moreThe 2 best sandwich artists that kept this location a 5 ⭐ no longer work there. The new owner likes to try to make the line move faster by taking MANY orders on top of each other. If your sandwich is toasted it will sit on the counter and get COLD (and since it was toasted the cold bread becomes both crunchy AND chewy because it wasn't made to your liking and bagged asap). I understand the new owner's thinking behind what he does but it DOES NOT WORK. I used to stop every day for a meal before work. Now I stop maybe 3 times a month. When I DO stop I will leave if the owner is behind the counter. I have tried to address this issue with him but he just blows me off. The ONLY reason I now give 3 ⭐ is due to the 1 employee that takes the time to be sure your sandwich is EXACTLY how...
