Sergio's Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Murphysboro

We ate at 1:00pm on Sunday afternoon. There were several others dining also. I got the buffet & I was so disappointed in the amount of food available; the containers were empty or right at it. (At least for or five) There were four other customers filling their plates too. I am wheelchair bòund so my trips to the buffet were limited by my ability to maneuver myself up there.

I mentioned the empty containers to our waitress, who said she had told the kitchen staff. Well, needless to say, we left before the containers were filled. I have eaten at other buffets. What I notice is that they whisk out the old ones & set in new ones before they get empty. My thoughts are either do a full buffet or not at all. My husband ordered off the menu. He got more food & it was cheaper. The manager should try filling up his plate on that buffet.

My wife being bedridden I ordered 3 items online. When they arrived the bag clearly indicated my order, but inside was the wrong order - and it was cold. I called the restaurant and told them. One hour and a half later I called a second time to be informed they wanted me to come to their restaurant with the wrong food. The blamed the delivery service even though they had sealed and labeled my ticket to the wrong food bag. I said I could not leave my wife alone, she being on hospice. The food was okay. We waited to be seated until one of two workers got off their phones - if the manager didn't come by to motivate them, I'm not sure they would have been as quick. Once we got our food, the server let me reach for the hot plate, not telling me that it is hot. After I grabbed it and dropped it on the table, the server laughed at me. We had to grab our own silverware after he left to the back room.

The servers just couldn't care any less to wait their tables and have incredibly disrespectful and poor service. I used to have a high opinion of Sergio's, but I don't think I'll visit this...
