I do not recommend Mr. R's ice cream in Capsc!
Today I ordered the "basket of chili cheese fries". 6 sliders, 3 without catchup or mustard as im allergic to mustard; and a medium ice cream cone. Total bill was $27.35. 1st the young lady brings me a SMALL ice Cream cone. I politely said something but that was ignored. Then my order came up. The photos show you what I got. That is NOT a basket of Chili Cheese Fries and clearly there is ketchup and mustard on that slider.
Jodi, the former owner knew what she was doing and it was a great place. NOT anymore!
Although Gary did offer me a full refund or a replacement order, I declined both because he did not listen to me and became confrontational and refused to listen to me. His "partner" is going to get him sued. Had i taken a bite of that slider i would be on my way to the emergency room and Gary could give a shit.
I do not recommend Mr. R's in Capac. Instead Memphis has the best ice cream stand in Michigan! I guarantee you can't eat one of their banana splits which are...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe food and ice cream is good. The prices are not. $10 for a banana split is crazy (Dairy Queen in Imlay City is $6). And then charge a credit card fee and want a tip? All that is baked into the price already and then some. I've lived in the area for 20 years and used to go often. With as hot as it is the place should be packed but every time I go by, I only see a few people. I really want to support local businesses but only go once a year at best now. Sadly, the median income in this town won't support...
Ā Ā Ā Read morehis wife is writing this review. I grew up in capac, Mr Rawlins first opened in 1985. My mom would take us ( 3 kids) there on Friday's during the summer. I remember this place as a walk up window. My mother would get 3 kids cones and paid .75 cents. Lots of good childhood memories at this place. You probably won't get ice cream that cheap anymore but I'm glad to see it is still a fun place opened to...
