Nantucket VFW Post 8608 — Restaurant in Nantucket

My cousin rented the place for a baby shower, there was confusion about the time the party would be finished. Instead of going to the person that signed the contract, this Karen, decided to yell at the guest that they had to leave. While everyone was picking up their belongings she started turning the lights off as well as pushing people towards the door and then proceeded to completely shut off all the lights while small children and the mother-to-be were still inside looking for her coat. The children were scared because it was pitch black and had someone not been next to the mother-to-be she could have fallen as her leg got wrapped around some of the decorations in the dark. While i understand that the time was over, she herself had verbally told my cousin they could stay an extra hour and there was a much better way to handle things when people were already packing up. She made us leave all of the food and locked us out while people still had personal belongings inside. This has not been my first experience like this at this establishment as it was similar for my moms wedding, but the fact that the guests could have fallen and got hurt or the expectant mother, god forbid, were to lose her baby is what makes me the most upset. I noticed she had no problem at all when it comes to yelling at people who didn't speak english well, but she seemed to have a problem...

Well you know, in the morning? Top Notch nothing but the best all around and Sam loves it too, my place also has a bartenderess named Sam what could be better, and as a bartenderess I have never met feiner and I have been around for those who don't know me, I'm not only an old hippie that don't know what to do but I've spent some time on both sides of the bar and she is Bar None Stellar personal service and you don't find that much no more oh, that's all I have to say about that, you will have to make your own decisions...
