Oh my goodness! I honestly don't know where to begin with this gem of an establishment. Went to Napa for a girls trip and my waiter on the Wine Train recommended this place, so I set a reservation for the following day. As soon as we walked in we were seated. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, the staff is extremely kind, inviting and full of smiles. The wine list is extensive so they are sure to have something for everyone. If you want take a break from wine, they also have a divine cocktail menu. I had a few of the prickly pear margaritas which were delicious! The waiter even informed me that the pears were picked from their garden out back. For the appetizer I had the chicken wings with homemade bbq sauce and blue cheese and an order of the onion strings. The wings were meaty with a beautiful crispy skin and complimented the sauces extremely well. For the main course I went with the Mongolian pork chop with mashed potatoes and pickled cabbage. TO DIE FOR!!! The others at my table enjoyed grilled salmon, crab cakes, mac and cheese, sautéed spinach, grilled artichoke, baby back ribs, and pasta. Everything was wonderful! Lastly, for dessert we ordered the lemon lime tart. If you don't order a slice after your meal, I would honestly tell you that you cheated yourself. It is in the top 3 best things I've ever put in my mouth. Basically, in shorter words, you would be doing yourself an injustice not dining at Mustards while in Napa. A lot of the food in Napa is expensive and as you're walking out of the door your stomach starts rumbling because what you just ate could've fed a newborn baby. When you leave Mustards your heart will be full and your stomach even more full. Keep up the...

Came back for my husband's birthday. The only unfortunate thing is it's not within walking distance from all the hotels but it's a quick car ride away with lots of parking (and one exhilarating left turn on the speedy highway!). We were warmly welcomed, seated quickly, and wished a happy birthday.
They had a special lunar new year menu, which we tried along with their signature dishes. Dan Dan Noodles: worth trying but our least favorite (thought it was a little too salty and didn't have the right flavor profile...didn't taste Asian if that makes sense...). But that's in context of their signature dishes being exceptional. Ginger cilantro marinated rockfish: Fish was cooked perfectly and the highlight for me was the steamed eggplants on the side. But same as the dan dan noodles, it was missing Asian flavors? I was expecting some banging flavors from the ginger and cilantro but it was super mild. Pork chops are still my favorite. Juicy, tender, perfectly flavored with the sides. MMM!! Cornbread: If I wasn't so full I would have ordered a second serving. Delicious and a must order. Butterscotch pot de creme: Like how silky smooth the texture was as well as how much butterscotch flavor came through. I would have preferred a panna cotta with fruit but this was so satisfying and rich. Lemon lime tart: It's a signature dessert of theirs and I see why. Also very satisfying and rich.
We also had two tasting flights of Pinot and Cab. We didn't have time to do wine tasting so really appreciated their extensive wine menu and the fact that they had tasting flights. Didn't miss out on the trip to wine country and got everything we craved all...
Read moreWe’d been here a few years ago and missed coming the last time we were in Napa so on this trip we made reservations to come back for dinner again. This has got to be one of my favorite restaurants anywhere… the menu is so huge and interesting and everything they make is spot-on! I can’t imagine how big their kitchen is to prep all this food, but everything we’ve ordered and seen others order looks so picture perfect!
On this trip, my wife got the daily tostada which was their swordfish tostada and I’m imagining a small amount of swordfish diced and put on a small tortilla shell. Well, the tortilla was the normal size, but the swordfish was a huge steak! The fresh salad on top made the entire thing look so massive you hardly saw that it was a tostada! She reaved about it and the preparation! For me, I started with their soup of the day, which was corn soup and WOW it was so good! Next up was their meatloaf – AMAZING!!! I got a side of their mustard they serve with the Mongolian Pork Chop and that really made the meatloaf even better! (Interesting that our server and the manager who came to check on us were both intrigued by my use of the mustard on this meatloaf… It might become a menu item??)
Be sure to save room for dessert… in our case, their daily dessert was an ice cream sandwich… WOW! This didn’t resemble any ice cream sandwich I’ve previously seen, it was amazing too… made with strawberry ice cream – truly amazing!
Can’t wait for our next trip to Napa to come back… next time it’ll be for lunch so I can try one of their very...
