Tucked away in Napa's Browns Valley district, this is way more than a Pub! I haven't met anyone local or otherwise, that doesn't think this place is a gem, hidden from the hustle and bustle of downtown life. Whether you're dining in or ordering to-go (available online, non-busy hours only!), you will not be disappointed. They have an outdoor area available, and get this, y'all, bring the pup, because they're pup friendly!! I personally haven't tried any of their beer, so if that's what you're looking for - go ahead and swipe left. The food, however -- yooooooo ... all day, everyday! Some of the food I tried are -
Crispy calamari -- Crispy it is, and almost always have to get two orders, cause sharing is caring! The spicy-lemon aioli pairs perfect with the calamari. You'll be asking for more calamari just for the dip (see that's why I get two orders).
Garlic Pub Fries - Need I say more? Plus, you can upgrade your meal to include garlic fries for $1 - made me hollar.
Western BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger - Hold the tomatoes, everything else was mmm, mmm, good, according to my son - he asked for another one. I told him to finish those garlic fries he left lingering on his plate. He didn't need another one, just time for that burger to digest.
BLTB - yea, the more bacon part at the end. For such a classic sammy - boy they up't the stakes .. always more bacon.
Granny's Homestyle Mac & Cheese -- That white cheddar had my knees weak. I had to share w/ the kid, who ate it up .. like all the way up. Shiesh, couldn't even save me any.
Ale-battered Cod -- This is my GO TO! When I'm feeling frisky, I get 3, yes 3 .. because their spicy tarter saucey goes .. and goes.. and goes. You know I got the garlic fries to go with my cod. No one gets a reply back when I have my food in front of me.
Lastly -- cheesecake .. I mean they have a special board specifically for the flavor of the day. The only neg I have is that their online ordering menu doesn't have their cheesecake of the day, mostly just the brownie - not that I have anything against the brownie, I'm sure it's good, like everything else, but cheesecake though. The fact that the flavor changes, I think makes it more that I want it.
All in all, if you're wanting something for yourself, with your family, week day or night, or even on the weekends w/ your pup(s), you can't beat not coming here and patron this fine establishment. The staff are all super friendly and welcoming and you want the vibe. You'll leave happier...
Read moreAugust 17 Tuesday. We were the group of six that sat outside. We sat next to the wall at the back right side.. We might be the last few people who left from outside seating.
This place is really nice, really like the outside seating area. I haven't seen my friends since covid started. We finally are able to meet up and this place couldn't be perfect. Service was great very courteous and attentive. I have forgotten the name of our server but I think she stands out with the tattoos that she have.
The food was excellent! Appetizers was great! We got the Margherita Flatbread then calamari and pretzels bites. I had the Burger with jalapeño with bacon no cheese. My friend had the ahi tuna. Someone had the sandwhich. All the main entre came at the same time so no one was left behind. Really great service. At the end when we were about to leave we were trying to take our picture and a beautiful server came by and help take our group picture. Thank you very much! We are grateful and appreciate the service we got at Hop Creek Pub. We are hoping to come back...

If pub food had a hall of fame, Hop Creek would be inducted with a standing ovation and a deep-fried dill pickle tossed into the crowd. Those crispy little brined beauties were so good we briefly debated switching careers to full-time pickle critics.
The Brewsed Black and Bleu burger? A glorious tower of bold flavor, beefy bravado, and bleu cheese sass. It punched our tastebuds in the best possible way and left us emotionally bonded to our napkins.
And let’s talk about the Classic Reuben on marble rye. If sandwiches could write poetry, this one would’ve penned a heartfelt sonnet about melted Swiss and sauerkraut destiny. Rich, tangy, toasted perfection.
Atmosphere was laid-back and lively—the kind of place where you feel equally at home sipping a local brew or making loud declarations about your new sandwich-based religion.
We’ll be back. Probably wearing shirts that say “Team...
