First of all_ we did not have a clue that this place existed in Nashville, even though we love to try all the possible spots we are able to access. As it was Mother's Day weekend and I had driven all the way back to Nashville from Pennsylvania; I anxiously spent this special weekend with my son. I love the water_ beaches, lakes, ponds, rivers, all bodies of water; we searched for riverfront eateries. The FIRST time was a charm when we happened upon the 'Blue Moon Riverfront Grille' on the Cumberland River! The song says it best_ "Once in a Blue Moon, I'll do something right." 💙 We entered the marina and parked almost immediately even though the parking area was packed with other diners and/or boaters. We spoke with the hostesses and were given a pager with a wait of 40 minutes. That turned out not to be the case at all. I walked up to the bar to order (2) iced teas while we waited and saw (2) empty seats at the end of the bar and grabbed my son and told him we would 'belly up' to the bar and dine; he was all for it. Christian brought our iced teas to us immediately and menus were placed in front of us as well. We scanned the diverse and delicious selections before we decided on the honey dipped chicken/shrimp with rice (the most tasty rice that I've ever eaten)_ it was sweet but had a hint of heat too! I also had the garlic broccoli that was amazing. My son opted for the westcost wrap with grill chicken, bacon, cheese, avocado, brought together with a tasty aioli. My son said it was the best wrap he had ever tasted. 😋 Erica never let our drinks get halfway down before she was filling new glasses with iced tea and lemon; she worked that full bar and grille like a well-oiled machine! John dropped by asking if we were okay and was there anything he could get for us....🥳 Obviously we felt like the only guests in the room. The grille is an open structure with outdoor dining alike. The cool breeze coming off the beautiful Cumberland River was so nice and refreshing on such a warm and beautiful day. Our first visit hopefully we not be our last visit; we absolutely adored this new-found spot! Great job from the (2) friendly and cordial hostesses to our trio at the bar_ Erica, Christian, and John! You guys made our day more special than we ever dreamed it could be. We were so happy and full when we left there and talked about planning our next opportunity to go again soon. Thanks again guys_ you all are...
Read moreWhere do I even start? This place is hands down the best little boujee bar & grill I've ever been to in my life! So many good things I can say about them, so I'll just take it from the top. First, the service was nothing short of excellent! I sat at the bar and both the bartenders helped me out collectively the entire time I was there without fail and they were SO good at what they do! S+ service from both of them! Thank you, Christian and Erika! I hope I spelled your names right! 😆 Not only did they make sure I was taken care of the entire time without fail, but they were also excellent conversationalists and they even remembered my name! I even made friends with a few of the regulars who were wandering around getting drinks and I just felt right at home. Everyone, staff and customers alike were so friendly and cool! By the time I left, they all felt like family. Second, the food was nothing short of AMAZING!!! 🤤 I got the Rock Harbor Chicken Sandwich, blackened and it was ENORMOUS!!! Maybe it was a liiiiiiiittle pricey, but I definitely felt like I got what I paid for. The fries were also great, definitely some of the best I've had anywhere. I had a Lagunitas IPA on draft and it complimented the meal very well. Then when I got done with that, I tried one of their Bushwackers, which I hear is a thing around Nashville so I had to give it a try and I'm so glad I did! It was like a chocolatey, rummy, milkshaky blast from heaven! Maybe I was a lil tipsy after, but I never would have known it had alcohol in it if they hadn't told me before! And last but not least, EVERYONE in this establishment had a smile on their face and I couldn't help but join them, for the entire duration of my visit. I loved the layout, it was small but not too small, and all the walls were covered in cool decorations that were reminiscent of sailing the high seas, as well as being kind of backcountryish as well. My favorites were the harpoons on the wall next to the bar! I seriously cannot recommend this place enough! I will absolutely be back here next time I'm in Nashville and I HIGHLY suggest you go check it out for yourself if you're looking for a good place to eat, get a drink, make some friends, see some cool sights, or all of the above! 1,000 out of 10!!! S+...
Read moreFirst time visitor with my family and was very disappointed. I heard great things so decided to make the drive to try it and unfortunately, was provided a poor first impression.
Arrived at 6:15pm right before sundown on yesterday and was told by the hostess there would be no wait if we were seated on the inside being the patio was full. We were a party of 3 where no one was seated at a table on the inside except us. We were provided a table in less than 5mins. Directly after seating us, 1 male who was behind us was seated on the inside also. The patio was full and the bar appeared full, it looked as if the staff was short yesterday but we were enjoying the view and atmosphere so much we continued our stay.
We finally met and our waitress after being seated for about 20mins, and after she took the males order that was seated after us. When ordering our drinks we decided to just place our meal order at the same time which was the cobb salad, brisket nachos (appetizer), and the chicken wrap. As we continued to wait the inside became very full, up until a point where there was a wait outside to be seated.
Sadly we began to notice inside tables of parties some even larger than ours were getting there food (steaks, burgers, seafood) before us. Our waitress breezed by to say ours should be out soon. After continuing to wait, the last draw was seeing a table of 4 who was seated for an about 10mins get their hot food plated.
To arrive at 6:15pm and to make the decision to leave at 7:45pm with was very disappointing. As our waitress was delivering a tray of food to the table next to us, I decided to leave but not before letting her know. I explained; ma’am we are going to have to leave being we are seeing several tables being served that came after us. Her response: “that’s fair and good night”. It looked as if they were understaffed and I can understand that causing the delay, but to see multiple tables being served on the inside to families/individuals when my family was seated first only leaves me to believe if you are a person of color your money does not spend the same way in this establishment.
Disappointed but...
