Corner Pub Bellevue — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

1 Previous Review: Hide » 1.0 star rating3/2/2014 My friend and I used to go to the Corner Pub frequently about 3 yrs ago. We loved going there because it was close and all the employees loved us! One night we were at the bar and my friend went to the bathroom and when she went in there was a beer bottle on her side of the stall from the girl next to her. She was affraid she was going to knock it over so she picked it up and slid it to the other side and a nice guester. The girl in the next stall thought my friend drank from her beer and ran out and told one of her buddies that worked at the bar. The red headed bar maid with a display of her breast falling all out of her shirt told us to leave? Without even hearing her side of the story???? We left because we were ready to go anyway. Three years later we go in and sit at the bar and the same "bar maid" with the display of breast all hanging out told us in a cocky manner that we had to leave??? I asked to speak to the manager and of coarse she was the manager???? We asked to talk to the owner and was told they were not there?? When I went to the front door I asked a familiar waiter that was always so sweet to us if the owner was in and he said yes. He went and got her. She took her sweet time coming to talk to us because she got manipulated by the " bar maid" with a display of breast hanging out all over the front of her shirt ??? When talking to one of the owners I introduced myself and told her we went to the same church. She immediately said she had sided with her manager even before hearing anything we had to say. The red headed "bar maid" stood there like a bull dog ready to get us??? I explained the situation anyway and told her that the insident happened 3 years ago?? I am a christain person and so is my friend. Don't people get a chance to redeem themselves anymore? I can see asking us to leave for the night but bann us forever is really really over reacting??This "bar maid" with the display of her breast all over the place was clearly needing attention and on a power trip? My friend looks like a super model and I'm pretty sure this " bar maid" is just jeolouse............­..... and holds a grudge longer than anyone I ever knew??? I have seen a man throw up all over the bar because he was drunk and then the owner the manager walked him out to his car and let him drive drunk????? This little "bar maid" is out for vengence with us and needs to go to customer management classes and what not to wear classes?? As for the owner lady , she needs to run her own business and not let a 20 something do it for her??? We went down to the Brew House where friends joined us and we spent well over 100.00$$$ having a really nice dinner and dessert! The food was great and the service was superb!!! We will be boycotting the Corner Pub until an apology is given. I left message with Woods for him to call us but still have not heard from him?? I will be telling all my friends too... This felt good to let someone else know. The tall owner of the Corner Pub and Mr Woods have always been so sweet to me , my friend and my kids! Its a shame you have girl like that working for you?

Our son lives in Nashville, so when we come from Clarksville TN to spend the day with him we eat lunch out together! Today we chose to eat at The Corner Pub. We were surprised when we walked in by how spacious the pub is. A great atmosphere and you get to pick a table and seat yourself. Which was easy to do Cause all the tables were clean and stocked with condiments! Our waitress was quick to bring us menus take our drink order and get our drinks right out to us! For an appetizer we had the fried pickles. It was a really nice portion and the flavor was amazing. They were definitely addictive. There’s no way you could only eat one! For our meal I chose the mushroom Swiss burger with onion rings. My husband had the same but with a side salad and our son had the fish and chips basket with a side salad. The burgers were cooked perfectly with amazing flavor. I have to give credit for the cook paying attention to detail. I ordered my burger with no Mayo and I received mine with no Mayo. (So many places get that wrong so many times) That’s a really big deal to me! My husband has been wanting a really good burger for weeks and today he got one!! My onion rings were crispy and tasty! Just perfect!! Our son is a vegetarian and he was really impressed with all the vegetarian meal options on the menu. He said his fish basket was really good. Perfect, crispy and delicious! I was really impressed with the the side salads. It wasn’t your typical little bowl of salad. It was a big full bowl loaded, fresh and looked as good as it tasted. Our waitress was friendly, attentive and smiled and checked on us often! We will definitely be back again! There’s so many more things on the menu we want to try!! If I could give Corner Pub Bellevue negative stars, I would. Honestly, this place should be condemned and turned into a cautionary tale for future generations.

Let’s start with the welcoming committee—an army of cockroaches that made themselves right at home, crawling on the walls, darting across the floor, and—my personal favorite—skittering across our table like they owned the place. I half expected them to take our drink orders.

Speaking of drinks, they arrived in cloudy glasses that looked like they were rinsed in a puddle out back. One of the cups had lipstick on it. I wasn’t wearing lipstick. The other had something floating in it—either a piece of ice or a lost roach leg. Who can say?

Then came the silverware. I use the term silverware loosely, because what we were handed looked more like something you'd find buried in a landfill. Dull, greasy, and still crusted with food from—what?—last week? I don’t know if they even own a dishwasher, or if they just dunk everything in lukewarm water and pray for the best.

The smell inside was its own ecosystem—stale beer, fryer grease, and something sour that I don’t want to think about too hard. The floor was sticky, the ceiling tiles were stained, and the general vibe screamed “health code violations imminent.”

We didn’t eat. We couldn’t. The mere thought of ingesting anything from that kitchen gave me the same feeling I’d get from licking the floor of a gas station bathroom.
