3.5 stars. The advertising on tik tok is amazing. It got us here!
But when we got here, ordering is complicated and chaotic. There is no clear direction of where to start or end.
It would be logical to start at one end and a register at the very end. Allowing people to order and shop with their eyes , people would spend more money and get more of what they want. But here, it seams like someone just gradually added areas and items until the store was full and than thought about the theme.
We ordered the foods we seen on tik tok , and it wasn’t even on the menu, we had to show the staff each tik tok to even get what we wanted. We got charged over 40 dollars for one ice cream, 2 pastries and a 1 coffee. And than we were missing a pastry and they charged us another 7 dollars. So we paid 50 dollars.
We selected to have email receipt and text receipt for second charge and we never got receipt just advertisement’s.
The ice cream was not made like what we seen on tik tok despite showing the staff.
The whipped cream is not real dairy whipped cream, it’s the fake no melt stuff, the ice cream is generic blue bunny ice cream one gets at the grocery store.
The açaí gelato was good though. And the latte.
Everything else looked pretty but it just was missing that homemade local touch.
For me it feels like a cute shop that someone had a good idea, but they went to the Walmart to buy the premade ingredients and just serve in different containers.
Very clean, great atmosphere to enjoy your coffee, pastry, and ice cream. But the food is just not special to warrant spending 50 dollars plus tip.
We will not be back until they are able to serve things that they actually make not buy.
Its a start I suppose. Perhaps My Latin spouse and I just have a more...
Read moreI went into JOS Fifteen for the first time and plan on coming back again.
The exterior of the building is unassuming with its white brick, but the quaint coffee shop is cutely decorated with pastel and vibrant colors that draw the customer inside immediately upon entering. As the name suggests, JOS sells ice cream, loose leaf tea, pastries, coffee and drinks, and more.
One of the owners, Juan Pablo, is the one who took my order! I explained that it was my first time in, and I just needed some time to look at the menu first before ordering, and he kindly let me know that if I had any questions to let him know and to notify him when I was ready to order.
I learned that JOS is actually the owners' names put together. So, Juan Pablo and I believe he said the co-owner is named Samuel.
I ordered a 12 oz iced matcha latte for myself and two apple pastries for my parents. I think $4.50 for an apple pastry is fairly reasonable considering other bakery prices. $4.50 for a matcha latte is fair as well. My only critique is that I didn't get much of a matcha taste. I tasted mostly the almond milk, but the matcha was muted. I must say I love how my latte was lightly sweetened. It had a subtle yet noticeable sweetness. My parents enjoyed their pastry!
This place is great for breakfast or brunch or a tea party. One could snap some cute pics of themselves inside with the cute interior design.
On the side of the building in front of parking, there are two picture-worthy spots! There is a colorful set of butterfly wings to snap a pic similar to the Gulch Butterfly Wings mural. I like how JOS has their own version. There's also a wall sign with the JOS logo and a bench to sit on.
I will have to bring friends and family here and try...
Read moreLet's start with I loved this place so much, I went there twice. Now I am not a Mexican restaurant fan. I've never been to Mexico. But I'm pretty sure the food I get here at home isn't " authentic. " Here they have treats and ice cream. But I tried the horchata. Try it sometime, I'm serious. I'm also going to go out on a limb and say mind numbingly blown away is an understatement. The staff is BEYOND friendly and helpful for food recommendations around the area. I so enjoyed talking with them and to have the honor of them trying a new drink out on me? Thank you Lord for this day. Some of the cookies we got there I cannot find in the stores anywhere, and they have a gem where there is caramel sandwiched between two plain wafers to make you thankful to be alive? Yes. This is a good place to go ... Go and experience something different. They have so many hand made treats that my husband who doesn't eat too many, tried the cheesecake and almost cried. Folks, life is too short to eat the same thing all the time. Throw this place in for your taste buds adventure into this big world, right here at this...
