My what a difference a little time makes. Was in the area with the kids and looked forward to another good trip to Pizza Perfect...Was sorely disappointed; Not only with the pizza (which was much worse than I remembered...the sauce was old, I think), but even more disappointed in the attitude of the people working there. It is purely amazing that managers and owners of businesses that deal with the public fail to instruct their employees on the absolute neccessity of good customer service in the age of immediate online reviews and social media. Astounding, really. So here's the deal: The Kids spent a little time in the game room where my 10 year old daughter put 1 quarter in a game that took 2. She wanted her money back and hit the coin return lever, but nothing happened. She came to the table to tell me and I told her to tell the young lady at the counter...I was trying to teach her a lesson about asking for what you want and was certain she would experience a good lesson in customer service when she got her quarter back. T'was not to be. The girl at the counter said that since she only put 1 quarter in a 2 quarter game she could not get her money back unless she put another quarter in and pressed the coin return (Keep in mind that this was an older game that just starts without giving you the option the get your money back...But I digress). No biggie, no problem, I thought, I'll just put the other quarter in and let her play the game. So I put another quarter in, and...wait for it...nothing happened. I hit the coin return lever (remember, old game), and...wait for it...nothing happened. So now back to the counter to get 50 cents. No biggie, no problem, I thought, they will just give me the 2 quarters and we'll be on our way. Not yet...Now I have to face the same girl at the counter who proceeds to say, "Well, did anyone else play the game between the time your daughter put her quarter in and the time you did (maybe 30 seconds)? No I said, there is no one else in there (the restaurant was nearly empty...I wonder why? There I go again: Digressing.) "I just need my 50 cents", I said. Finally she grudgingly hands it over, with an attitude. I decided to give her a little construcvtive feedback, so I say, "Hey, you probably should have just given her her quarter back in the first place. I would have been good customer service, you know." "Well", she says, "that's not our policy." Really?! She pulled the old, "not our policy" over a cool 25 cents. Brilliant. "Ok", I say, "you have lost a customer as a result of your 'policy', be sure to let your manager know we won't be back." I get the kids from the game room to leave and as we're leaving I notice the girl talking to a slightly older guy in a plain white tee behind the counter and he's looking at me like I just took a dump in the middle of his restaurant. Oh great, I think, a 20 year old night manager at a pizza joint on a Monday: The very definition of 'a big fish in a small pond'. I look at him and say, "Great customer service you have here. We will not be back, and rest assured I will be writing some online reviews of how poorly we were treated in your establishment." "Well, that's against our policy, so you can write all the reviews you want." So there you go. Reviews wriiten and we will NEVER SPEND ANOTHER DIME HERE. Promises kept....
Read moreIn town visiting family and friends. Exceptional pizza, exceptional service. We had both their Perfect and Margarita pizzas. Both start on an unassuming foundation of a dough that is flavorful and cooked so that it is not too crispy, but also is cooked through (not too chewy/doughy) topped with a red sauce that adds flavor to the foundation which is tasty but not overpowering. The Perfect Pizza gives you generous portions of toppings (Pepperoni, Sausage, Mushrooms, Onions, Green Peppers, Black Olives, and Mozzarella) that compliment one another, as the name would hint: perfectly. The Margarita Pizza starts with the same foundation and is topped with Fresh Basil, Fresh Mozzarella, Tomatoes, Extra Virgin Olive Oil. We ordered takeout, and despite an error on my part (more on that in a minute) our food was ready ahead of schedule. While this was my first time eating here, it has easily occupied the top spot for pizza in Nashville. Expect to eat here next time I'm in town (probably closer to Christmas).
Now, on to the exceptional customer service: I encountered an issue (user error on my part to be sure) with the online ordering app (Toast). I placed my order online, but somehow I ordered for pickup from Bellevue when I was staying near Vanderbilt. A quick call to the Bellevue location and they were easy to work with, and simply transferred my order to the correct restaurant - and they were still able to have my order ready on-time. Many thanks for fixing my mistake and saving me a 16...
Read moreEdited to add a manager did contact me. She insisted on issuing a refund though it was not asked for an I honestly do not expect one so she is going above and beyond. She is also pulling camera footage from the kitchen in that time frame to make sure that all precautions that were supposed to be taken actually were. Glad she is concerned with the issue to prevent future situations. Its much appreciated.
I've been to this location a couple of years ago. The visit was great and the pizza was wonderful. This trip not so much. Most of the games in the game room are out of order. I also have to order gluten free. The crust on my pizza was rock hard and came out not cut. I tried to cut it with the slicer on the table but it was so tough it barely made a dent. I had to take it back up for them to cut it for me. Toppings were good but the crust was terrible. Definitely nothing like last time I was there. I also ordered a salad. I made sure to tell them about my food allergy and she said she put it in for no croutons with 3 !!!. Well salad comes out with a big piece of bread sitting right in the middle of it. I had to send it back to have a new one made. Despite all of that I still woke up with a migraine, congestion and nausea and short of breath with my asthma flared which are all signs of me eating gluten. Another member of my party is also gf. She ordered the same pizza and also woke up sick today. Giving 2 stars instead of one because my kids who aren't gluten free did still...
