Moody Mocha — Restaurant in Navarre

Absolutely love this place. I have worked with coffee and as a barista, and always look forward to trying coffee shops wherever I go, especially in my hometown. So when Moody Mocha opened up right outside of my neighborhood I was stoked to try it, and it is absolutely amazing. I usually drink iced lattes, and the ones here are the perfect sweetness to me, ( compared to a iced white mocha at starbucks which is too sweet for me , and black coffee which I also don’t prefer, ) it is perfect. The espresso is usually a Colombian or Haitian blend and is so so smooth. Best espresso in the area in my opinion. As far as flavor options go, they have just about any flavor you can think of, and more. They just put out a Fall menu and everything on it sounds absolutely incredible, from Pumpkin Cheesecake to Apple Cobbler Matcha. I regularly get the Iced Moody Mocha, their signature , with some sort of special mocha blend, always amazing. The truck itself is beautiful, very tidy and clean with a cute look. Both the owner and worker are super sweet and truly care about the drinks and experience of the customers. Never had or seen a bad encounter here, and been coming for about 4 months, maybe more. Parking is RIGHT in front of the truck and i’ve never waited more than 5 minutes on a drink, and that’s if they are busy. They do delivery through doordash and maybe some other websites, which is super convienient for people close, like me who lives right behind this location. Pricing is reasonable considering there isn’t an up charge for the oat milk they use as the base for all lattes.( Which is perfect for those who are lactose intolerant like me). What a cute little coffee spot!! The midway area has been DYING for a great café with a delicious menu, and while this is technically a food-truck, it has the elevated and thoughtfully crafted beverages you would expect from a hip-café spot you’d find in a swanky major metropolitan area. The drinks are delicious and I love that they ask “how sweet you want it”. I tend to drink dry and it’s wonderful that Moody Mocha is conscious of that! I’ve been a couple times, and please understand, this is NOT a large-chain order-and-go kind of coffee-truck with 3 baristas working 2 fully automated espresso machines. You will wait for your artfully crafted coffee/tea beverage and it WILL be worth it. Trust me. If you’re in a rush, I would advise ordering ahead. The menu is totally Plant-Based and while I am an unapologetic omnivore, I implore you not to keep the “lack of egg and dairy” from you trying this spot. Atmosphere: It’s best to visit on a sunny or non-rainy day as the coffee truck is stationed at The Eatery where it is surrounded by several other food trucks in an outdoor setting! Service: The owner is very kind and was patient with me when I was deciding on what I wanted to try! Menu items: I got their 24 oz (3 espresso shots) iced Andromeda’s Delight (pistachio + rose + vanilla flavors) 1/2 sweet with oatmilk as well as their Lemon Blueberry Blondie that is sweetened with brown sugar. I loved the coffee roast and appreciated the decrease in sweetness!
