Mariana Lighthouse Saipan USA / 마리아나 라이트하우스 사이판 — Restaurant in Navy Hill

Been to this place twice, 1st time was just with me n my husband during their soft opening. The service was not that great, our orders took more than 40mins to almost an hour, these were only appetizer portions, we had to constantly call on any waitresses or waiters for services. So my husband and I understood this 1st time why services was slow n terrible because its a soft opening and everyone is just new at this. This was on March 12, 2021...We told ourselves we'll give it another month or 2 for staffs to be well trained and services to improve. Recently, I saw their advertisement on a new menu with more selections of food. So I said "Wow, ok!?! This time we will bring our children with us, 3months ago was the last time we went here. Service must be better now". We got there, ordered our food, it starts we got our drinks, little by little each of our order was being brought to us. Everyone got their orders now we all eat n enjoy. So far its a perfect start!....One by one each of my kids was complaining the pasta smells so good but they only taste bacon fats on their Alfredo pasta there wasn't enough sauce. I tasted it and the sauce was SO oily than creamy..YUCK! We all needed refills too on our drinks. I got up and tried to flag a staff for assistance. All I got was a hand gesture and nod for yes yes. Ok.....6mins pass...still no service comes up...my youngest tells me she is very thirsty. Got up for the 2nd time and called for assistance we need refills on our drinks. Another 4 mins pass and still no one came up. So my girl had to drink from our cups of how little we had of water. My husband gets up n yells down "Hoi...hafa lai...you guys forgot about us!!". Customer Service hasn't improved at all, the food was ok. The only problem we had on this 2nd time is, as soon as we got served our drinks and food...that was it. NO STAFF HAD COME UP AND CHECK ON US IF WE NEEDED ANYTHING. FOR THE AMOUNT OF MONEY WE HAD PAID $140+ WE EXPECTED BETTER SERVICE. We were also warned ahead that this place sucks and it's expensive. Funny thing is our 1st and 2nd time coming here we were the only locals! Lmao😂...Now I know and understand. Its ANOTHER bad experience but its ok at least my kids got to experience going to the lighthouse. FUTURE WISE, IT IS A WASTE OF OUR TIME AND MONEY. WE ARE NEVER COMING...

Am sorry but I have to be honest as a concern customer. Your place is so nice but it would have been more nicer if you can improve some of your dishes. Please dont take this comment negatively cause believe me I would love to come back with my family and friends. The ambiance is great and the outside view is fantastic. My business partner and I decided to try and dine at this restaurant that's been in a trend for over a month. I agree it is a beautiful place, with a touch of vintage interiors inside. However, the food wasnt what I expected. We both ordered my favorite dish Loco Moco, but end up frustrated and disappointed. It was serve cold. The rice, patty, gravy and egg both cold and the gravy has no mushroom. The patty taste good I admit but its also cold. We also order for ceasar salad but we were told that they run out of vegetable stock. And we were serve Focaccia bread which is also my favorite but then again its over toast/baked, it was so hard to bite. It should have been slightly crispy on the edge and a bit chewy/soft on the middle. The taste is okay just hard. This might be okay with others but am sure everybody deserve to be serve with the proper food temperature when you are dining on a descent restaurant like this. But honestly, I love your place so please take this comment positively. Keep it up...

Mariana Lighthouse is a glorified coffee shop that opens daily at 9 a.m. Coffee at 9 a.m. seems quite late, so I don’t know if it’s ignorance or arrogance or both. The baristas need training on brewing - they butchered my Americano and charged a premium for it. Their espresso to water ratio was way off. The breakfast pastries are elegant and tasty but farmed out instead of baked on site. Light fare lunch offerings are available at 11 a.m., dinner and BBQ in the evening. The dining rooms are rustic-themed, with lots of natural light shining through the many large windows. Nice view of the Saipan Lagoon and downtown Garapan except for the gigantic eyesore the gaudy unfinished Imperial Palace Casino Hotel a.k.a “Best Sunshine.” Please give it a go, but expect to be...
