After spending time in Olympic National Park my friend and I headed towards Neah Bay. We stopped along the way in Clallam Bay. We are so happy we did. It is a beautiful little fishing village and the home of By the Bay Cafe. What a gem. It is a fairly low key place with a few tables and a counter. Diane was our server, but seemed more like an old friend welcoming us home - she was friendly, personable, informative and just a delight to deal with. I would highly recommend this place for those reasons alone, but it turns out the food is absolutely delicious. I had a burger (fresh ground beef) and my friend had a club sandwich. The sandwiches came with fresh cut French fries that were worth a trip by themselves. The burger was cooked perfectly - everything, including the lettuce and tomatoes, were fresh and delicious. My friend said her sandwich was perfect, too. All that plus a view of the beautiful bay and locals who are happy to share the history of the area. We liked it so much we stopped for lunch the next day on our way back from Neah Bay. My wife and I have been traveling for 12 days on this trip and these were our best meals. A great place to enjoy food, admire the bay and make...

Great place to stop for a bite if you’re in the area! We enjoyed eating on the deck, watching the fishermen and seagulls on the docks.

The Fish and Chips were excellent! I was blown away. I’m normally not a huge fish and chips fan but I figured, when in Sekiu... I can say with 100% honesty this was my favorite fish and chips meal I’ve ever had. (And for reference I’ve had it in London, where it’s supposed to be quite good)

The batter on the cod was delightfully crispy, had great flavor. The cod itself was also cooked perfectly. When overdone it can be a bit rubbery but this was absolutely not the case at By the Bay. With the lemon juice and tartare sauce it was absolute perfection in the quintessential fish and chips meal.

My husband got the Southwest Burger which he enjoyed also. We also got a malt which was quite good.

The chef and server were both so kind and friendly to us, entertaining all our questions about the area (it was our first time in Sekiu).

We will certainly be returning. Thank you By The Bay Cafe for a great...

There was a dark haired lady with buggy eyes that was absolutely terrible. First we entered the restaurant she sat us then asked what we wanted we asked for a couple more minutes but she completely forgot about us for about 20 minutes until we waved her over to us the entire time we were there she never asked if needed more water we finished are food and we wanted a vanilla milkshake to go she said of course then another 20 minutes later we went up to the counter and she said “I completely forgot” we told her to forget about it and she said really you dont want it and my mom said kinda expecting to get it for free for all the troubles or at least a little bit cheaper but no she said sounds good it will be $8.69. There was an older lady with white hair and she was the sweetest human in the world. But just be aware of that terrible serve. Also she was not...

I would give 3/5 for the food But their service by one of their workers was extremely rude, her name is Mandy. They had other worker Shelly, who was doing a great job handling everything by herself. We waited for 50mins for our food, and we were not given any heads up about the wait time, when we asked Mandy on how long would it take, she rudely said long time, please don’t come here if you can’t wait. Like we can’t even check the status after 50mins ? We were asking very politely but the response was extremely rude. I hope she treats customers better going forward. Otherwise you can give this restaurant a shot for sure if you are exploring NE part of Olympic National Park. Hash browns were salty. Omlettes were okay, and fresh toast was okay too. Can skip coffee, it’s below average

I just got home from a 22 day, 6,255 mile trip and this is the first thing I wanted to post. I had such a wonderful experience eating here (I knew it had good reviews, but it's a very small town and I didn't really know what to expect). Not only were the views of the bay incredible, the food was so delicious and perfectly prepared, and the people working there (and eating there) were interesting and friendly. I immediately felt welcome and at home. On the drive home (to Michigan), we talked about flying out to Seattle, driving up to Clallam, and eating there again before and after we visit Cape Flattery next spring. So, if you're in the area, stop in and say hello to the owner's mom.
