I found myself in Neilsville in the middle of no-where Wisconsin and in great need of coffee and breakfast. I was so excited when I found a local coffee shop instead of a gas station by using Google search!
The shop was off the beaten path back in a residential area. I would never have found it without using Google Maps. As I snaked my way through house after house, wondering if I was being led to a dead end where I would find my fate of ending up in a random cornfield, I started to wonder if this place was actually real. I turned the final corner and there it was! I was even more excited to see a drive-through!
The drive-through menu has the normal offerings of mocha, latte, breakfast sandwiches. I always opt for Americano but they also offered a sweet matcha latte! I was concerned when I saw the word, "sweet". I am not a fan of sugary drinks but I do love a good match so I ordered both plus a bagel.
I was asked twice if I wanted cream in my Americano...who puts cream in their Americano???? I sure don't. The Americano was good. Smooth, flavorful.
The matcha latte was not overly sweet, thankfully, but could have been stronger. I do not consume dairy so I opted for oat milk. I like a good, strong matcha but this one tasted like it needed more than the oat milk. Maybe it is my taste buds but if I cannot identify the matcha, there is not enough. I like to hear colors after consuming matcha. I do recommend asking for extra matcha if you are like me.
The bagel was good. Nothing extra special but it sufficed. I do want to return to try their salads.
I do recommend putting this cafe on your list of places to visit. I will definitely return...
Read moreThe staff were very nice, and the service and coffee drinks were great. I think they could make about any coffee drink you could come up with. The atmosphere is bright, clean, and a nice place for coffee and lunch. The chicken wrap was fresh and tasty. The plain waffles with syrup were ok. The scrambled eggs were cafeteria style eggs that just needed some salt and pepper, but I wouldn't order the eggs again. There are better items on the menu. The fruit cup was a very fresh mix of strawberries, blueberries, grapes, and pineapple. We would definitely stop again for the great service, coffee drinks, and lunch items, and I'd have to check if they have yogurt and granola to have with the fresh fruit. Thanks for a...
Read moreStopped by a few times now to get the feel of it and this is a cute local place. The Pros are that you can order sandwiches and drinks that aren't served anywhere else in town. It's also very clean, and the staff is friendly. Cons: it's pricey for the area. A meal costs about an hours' wages for around here. Forgot basil in the sandwich I ordered, but accidents happen! Overall it's a pretty cute little place to stop and have a bite to eat or a nice coffee or fruit flavored beverage.
Edit - last time I went in there was table service! So that's a pretty neat thing they're doing now and maybe worth...
