My husband and I were excited to try Bar Dub Grill. We went on a Monday night a few weeks after opening. Unfortunately we were disappointed. It took 15-20 minutes for the food to arrive. The food was only warm and cooled quickly. It was also very dry. I got the bbq grilled cheese sandwich and there was hardly any sauce on it. My husband got the sliders and said they were "ok" but the bun wasn't very good. We got our son the kids grilled cheese sandwich and fries. The fries were limp and didn't taste great. The grilled cheese sandwich didn't even stick to the cheese and the cheese hadn't been melted very much. We both got the onion rings which were good and is the only reason for our two star review. We wanted to try dessert after and we noticed that some items were "while supplies last" which is fine, but we asked anyway about the spud nuts because we noticed when we ordered our food there were some up where you order the food. When we asked the kid if he had any all he said was if they had some at the front then yes but at the dessert counter no. He didn't offer to check or run over and grab some. Not a huge deal but felt sort of rude. Lastly, where we sat (at the booth directly behind where you order your food) the table was dirty and the ceiling was dripping water--most likely from the rain earlier in the day. All in all, for the expense, it just wasn't worth it. We love Bar W and the meat quality and will continue to buy our meat from their store but I'm afraid we won't be eating at the grill. My recommendations for the grill: instead of grilled cheese on sourdough for the kids menu, use regular white bread that doesn't get so crispy when grilled. Instead of one chicken tender, make it popcorn chicken. Easier for kids to eat and doesn't look as pathetic as one chicken tender. I also think it would be nice to offer bbq sauce at the sauce station. That way patrons can add to their...
Read moreWe agreed after stopping here that It would be hard to find a more disappointing burger. The bottom line is that these were flavorless and over cooked and DEFinitely not cooked to order. You can serve the most wholesome cows on planet earth but if you cook them hours before they are served so that they are hard and dry and tasteless, you are not winning. The place is huge and looks like a real barn on the outside, which gave me the false impression that it might have some character on the inside too. Boy was I wrong. After entering the cavernous lobby and passing the gift shop (thank you, Iâd prefer to forget I was here) you head into what feels like an airport or mall food court. The menu has some creative items to choose from but why anyone would offer two specialty burgers featuring pineapple (thereâs only three total!) Iâll never understand. We got two different burgers, the bacon jalapeño and the outlaw burger, which is appropriate since overcooking meats this badly should be outlawed. Both burgers had bacon which was thick sliced and cooked to steel girder consistency. I almost chipped a tooth. The burgers themselves could have been used in last nights hockey game as the puck. The place is clean and the staff plentiful and friendly, but man. Shall I go on? NahâŠletâs just chalk it up to another time duped by the hope that flavor exists outside of Salt Lake City when it comes to...
Read moreLast week we were invited by friends to eat at the Bar Dub Grill. We were excited and we had already planned what to order from watching your website. We ordered an Aussie Burger and Cowboy Fries. (your Cowboy fries were okay; they tasted just like soft potato wedges but I will order fries the next time) I was so impressed to have a fried egg as well as beets on my hamburger and to my total surprise, everything was totally delicious. But oh my, the hamburger was not juicy at all. It was fried to the very extend of almost being burned. The edges were crisp and hard as well as the rest of the burger. I only ate part of the hamburger. My husband stated "this hamburger tastes like a piece of wood" it was so hard and crisp. It was just overcooked. Needles to say we were impressed with the service; everyone was very nice and we will certainly come in again and give you a second chance. All kinds of food coming from the kitchen depends a whole bunch on the cook. We are excited to come to your steak house when it opens...
