Lisa's Country Kitchen — Restaurant in Nephi

As we were driving through the area, we decided to stop for dinner because of the outstanding reviews. I rarely post reviews, but this experience was beyond unprofessional and disrespectful. The purpose of this review is to make the owner aware of the profit loss and the employees behavior. An owner cannot fix an issue if they are unaware an issue exists.

The problem: We stopped at 7:00 p.m. and entered the restaurant. There were no customers waiting and the dining room was half full. There was no one at the register to welcome guests or seat individuals. We waited at the register for 10 minutes. During this time, 3 servers were standing behind the bar talking and one male server was waiting tables. No one acknowledged our presence. They would look our way and then continue talking. Eventually, one female server walked past us to obtain dessert from the dessert case. She still didn’t acknowledge our presence; but did ask the family waiting behind us to move away from the case so she could retrieve a dessert. After a total of 15 minutes, my husband went up to a waitress and asked if we should seat ourselves. The waitress stated they didn’t have any seating available and it would be at least a 20 minute wait. My husband pointed to all of the open booths and tables, she replied “we don’t have enough staff to open any other tables”; she then abruptly turned around and resumed her conversation with the other staff members behind the bar. They all began to laugh.

By this time, there were two other families behind us. We all left.

I work as a supervisor in a consumer driven industry and would never approve of such apparent disregard to customer service or disrespect to other human beings. I hope this review is profitable to the owner for further staff professional...

How in the world does this restaurant have a 4 star rating?! Very inaccurate and I've never written a review on a restaurant but I will for this one so people don't waste their money or so the owner might know what's going on. My family went for Mother's Day and every single one of us were very disappointed and disgusted with our food. Very small portions with high prices and the quality of the food was terrible. Half of my small breakfast skillet consisted of uncooked onions, my mom sent her food back and didn't want it replaced because she ordered a roast beef French dip sandwich and it was served to her on a sesame seed hamburger bun because "the regular buns were frozen", my fiancé said his steak was so bland and the worst steak he's ever had and on top of that, his meal had an option for a baked potatoe for the side but he couldn't have it "because they don't serve them til after 5"..my sweet mom secretly paid for our meals or else I'd be even more upset that we wasted so much money on food that I could've prepared better. My grandma was at a separate table than us so she didn't know we were having issues with our meals and she came over to see how ours were since her tables food was so bad. The sad part is that we respectfully turned food away and communicated with our teenage servers and nobody was apologetic or seemed to care and rather acted annoyed. Friday evening, 8/19/23. Group of 4 + 1 kid. Wait time : 15-20 min. No problemo. Host took us to a corner booth deep inside. After 5 min, took our drinks order which was just plain water, no ice for everyone. We also gave our food order. Nothing special, just right off the menu items. Would have totalled around $55-65.

The wait started.

A family got seated behind us. They placed their drinks+food order, and their food came. People at the bar counter got their food, finished eating their food and had just got their dessert to them when we got our water. Guess what, the restaurant ran out of glasses. So, the waiter brought water in large paper soda cups. Asked him when the food would be ready, and he said, just couple of minutes more.

Sat there for another couple of minutes. People behind us finished their food and was gathering stuffs to leave, when we said, enough is enough and just got up and left.
