We waited 5 minutes for someone to take our name for the list. When she finally came over, she asked where we wanted to sit. I said in or out, seems to be tables in both areas. She then got snippy that there are only 3 people on tonight and should be 5 so there are empty tables. As she was going to write down my name, I noticed there were two small groups(table of 2 and 4), ahead of us. I asked if it was going to take an hour to be seated and she snapped, that if I was going to have an attitude she wasn't going to serve us. "Then you can leave. There was a full bar(bartender area) and 3 tables that were eating and another table that was packing up their food. Lost my temper and called her a name for being so rude to my wife. Any waitress/ waiter worth her salt could have handled more than 4 tables especially since they were already eating. The other groups had waited a long time to even get their names written down. They said they were waiting more than 20 minutes to...

Stopped in for diner recently. Waitress seated us and took our drink order immediately and said she'd give us a couple mins to decide on our food. Shortly there after a large group of about 10 came in and rearranged tables and chairs across from us. Waitress immediately started taking their drinks orders, and then head off to place the drink order. She then returned with their drinks. We were in her direct sight yet she contuniued to ignore us and started to take this large groups food order, placing them as a priority ahead of us. Needless to say I let her know that it was not acceptable to give them priority since we had arrived first and she had started to serive us. It was obvious the large group was more important then we were. Although we have been to the Grumpy Minnow on numerous occasion, this is our last and will not return. We left immediatey and WILL NOT return. Thank you to the waitress who let down the...

It has been a couple weeks since we were there but I cant get passed the experience we had with HAIR in our food. I ordered the Buffalo Mac and cheese. When it arrived at our table it clearly had a dark hair right on top. Immediately as the server placed it in front of me I said oh my it has hair in it. She took it away right away. As time passed everyone else at my table got their food ate it and was finishing their drinks. As I received mine back, I began to realize it was the same one. Just a smaller portion. And since it had been so long they clearly reheated the crispy chicken by putting it back in the fryer. It was sopping in grease and extremely hard. I realize there is bigger fish to fry going on in the world but honestly, this will keep myself and family from every returning and our friends.. not because there was hair but how they choose...

We would always recommend their Breakfasts on Sunday mornings. The Steak Bite Skillet and The Chicken Cordon Bleu Skillet is wonderful with or without hollandaise sauce, some of the bits of steak were a little tougher than usual but still good and we usually order two pieces of toast in stead of one a little more expensive this Sunday we were charged $6.00 for Two extra pieces of toast. This was a first. The wait staff is normally very good, however the one we had Sunday we hadn't had before she was ok but didn't stop very often and would generally look away if she was going to one of her other tables. Also my wife had asked for her Hollandaise Sauce on the side which is the way it came but I had to ask for Hollandaise Sauce for My Steak Bites she explained it that there Computer was acting up.

This place was great if you like small out of the way restaurants... Stopped here on way back from a road trip up north with the family, and everyone was pleasantly surprised.. Food and atmosphere were amazing... the only negative was our waitress must have been worn out as she has the personality of a paper weight.. but if are ever in the neighborhood, try this place out...

Thank you for staying open for take out! Take out the last few weeks has been top notch! Just like their normal staff inside for a meal or drinks, you will be greeted with a friendly person on the phone accepting orders and grateful folks bringing your food to your car outside. Request for Black Thread to play on the patio again this summer?!! Hint hint... :)
