If you have been around long enough (and are wise enough to notice) this life journey is filled with its share of not so pleasant circumstances and little things that just chip away at you until it seems there is little left of you. Things that cause you to want to escape your current reality, if only for a moment... However, every once in a while everything aligns perfectly and it is as though los dioses y diosas te bendicen THAT is how I happened to cross paths with Maria's!
This seemingly hidden gem was a most welcome blessing in disguise. The spacious dining areas, lively music, most gracious, attentive, and welcoming hospitality of the staff, the lively but relaxing ambiance, and the overall energy of Maria's is amazing. The menu has traditional staples and offerings which stay true to the roots of its Mexican 🇲🇽 origins; the flavors spare no punches and rest assured, all of your senses will be throughly satisfied.
Sometimes on your life journey you need something to give you a little motivation and assurance that your path is worth continuing on just a little bit longer; to realize there is also beauty and balance in this world. I genuinely appreciate Maria's for having reminded...
Read moreMaria runs an amazing restaurant. Her rice is so fluffy and not overflowed. It is my fav Mexican rice in town. Since she redid the restaurant after she bought it, it is now bright colored and vibrant! She and her staff always remember our names AND drinks and fav foods! Before we even order! If you like spicy, try the Camerones la Diablo. If you love a good hearty soup, the abondigas is my favorite...the meatballs just melt when you eat them. My youngest likes the pork carnitas, which is so tender and delicious. My eldest son gets the carne asada and there is NOTHING left! Maria makes a special salad for Piper with grilled fish on it to keep her healthy.
We love Maria, her daughters and everyone that makes and serves the food. God bless the many hands at Maria's and please keep them...
Read moreWe are true Mexican Restaurant aficionados. We love to try new restaurants and we love Mexican food. Noticed Maria's while visiting friends nearby and wanted to give it a try. The two dishes we ordered were ok, not good or great. The Molcajeta had no cactus - which is usually a key ingredient. I love these lava bowls of yumminess - but this was is disappointing.
DH had a pollo dish which was not memorable.
I think we'll drive on by next time.
PS. service was excellent, place was clean and masks, social distancing and hand sanitizers...
