I love this place for the cozy atmosphere and quality of food and great service. I decided on Italian food tonight and picked Riccardi’s Restaurant. They offer a wide variety of options to choose from when ordering. It started with sitting by the fire place. And the waitress arriving shortly after to take my drink order. For my meal I picked the Baked Stuffed Shells with meatballs. A short time later the waitress returned with my order. Cooked to perfection and taste delicious. Each Bite makes you want to take another. After I was done the waitress returned to take my dessert order. I ordered the spumoni gelato dessert. Once again, what a way to top off the night. Each bite makes you want to take another. The waitress was outgoing and interactive each time and keeps me coming back. If your in the mood for some good Italian food, I highly recommend Riccardi’s.

THE SERVICE The employee answering the telephone gave a friendly greeting before stating “please hold”. The telephone was then plopped down emitting a screeching noise followed by amplified conversations, and the natural bustling of a restaurant. I was “on hold” for approximately 2 minutes which isn’t an issue if ordering during peek times. However, utilizing an actual hold button would be helpful as it’s quite obnoxious hearing kitchen staff shouting, and patrons conversing at checkout discussing discrepancies with their order. Although I doubt I was placed on speakerphone, that’s exactly what it sounded like. If you have access to order online- I would recommend doing so. The pickup experience is best categorized as organized chaos. The employees working the counter were friendly once your turn for service arrived. My order was ready at the designated time and packaged very well. THE FOOD The parmesan garlic, pesto, and tomato Italian Crostini was very tasty- the standout bite. Perfect balance of flavors and texture. The lasagna with meat sauce and extra cheese was fine. An acceptable meal with no particular standout flavors, but satisfactory nonetheless. THE VALUE Good value for the price and quantity of food. My order was more than sufficient for two meals.

I tried it for the first time today, with my mother. It wasn’t so busy since they had just opened. The food was very tasty and reasonably priced. Our waiter was okay, I did notice however, that she was being extremely nice to every other customer more so than she was with us. We were the only two Latina ladies at the restaurant but we still deserved to be treated just as nice as everyone else. She asked everyone else where they wanted to be seated, and brought them a basket of bread which she did not do for us. We asked for a to go box and when she transferred the food from my mom’s plate she dropped some on the table and picked it up with her hands and put it on the box saying, “ don’t worry my hands are clean.” She said she would bring us a clean bag since she dirtied ours yet she brought another dirty bag. I’ll let the bag issue go that’s fine.... even the issue where she picked my mom’s food from the table with her bare hands. When we left the restaurant she did not even bother to thank us or say anything... yet, when her other customers left she said “thanks or come back again” I will not be going back to this restaurant even though the food was tasty. I will not go to a restaurant where I do not receive the same treatment as everyone else.

One of the most disappointing meals I’ve had in recent years. The chicken Alfredo was too watery and the pasta was undercooked. The pizza was overcooked on the crust, the pineapple was from a can, and the chicken on it was extremely dry. The baked ziti tasted of a smokey oven and the past was burnt on the edges. The manicotti was burnt on the edges to the point of being crunchy. The filling was good. I had ordered a salad as an appetizer. The salad itself was fine, other than the metric ton of cheese put on it. The worst part was it wasn’t Parmesan cheese on the salad. The salad dressing had separated in the bottle, and not in a normal way. If this is the best Italian food nearby, I urge you to travel to the North End and try what these dishes are supposed to taste like.

Got a meatless sub ... all it was ,... was there salad mix in a sub .... not good at all . Disappointed 😞 like no effort in that sandwich for people who dont eat meat .Update !!! I ordered a chicken Alfredo with broccoli and ziti paid 50$ and then after I got it home for the party I was hosting notice there’s no Alfredo sauce .. I went back to ask for it and was charged additional money for the sauce !!! Do not buy chicken broccoli Alfredo from here unless your willing to pay more for sauce !!! Makes no sense to me .. update: I tried again hoping for a better outcome and was disappointed again.. I ordered a large Italian sub, fully loaded , expecting for it to be fill of delicious Italian meats only to find a whole lot of melted cheese over a small amount of meat .

We have been visiting Riccardi's for years, eat in, take out and catering. We decided to go for lunch, my mom is in a wheelchair, they have a removable ramp at the entrance which is great. Upon entering the first dining room was full so we sat in the 2nd dining room..fine with us. The service at first was slow and not the most friendliest, as there was only one waitress working. They definitely need help. Once the food arrived the service was much better. The food was delicious as always. We ordered baked ziti, lasagna and meatball sub. They do have great lunch options at a reasonable price. Will definitely keep visiting and hopefully they will have more than one waitress.
