Additional reply: Nothing was 'thrown at you'. Good Lord. We threw the pull tabs in the garbage can, which can be verified by the security cameras I assume you have. I stayed and spoke with you - quietly and calmly - for several minutes, after you followed us out the door, so I do not feel that qualifies as 'rushing out'. This should also be verifiable via your security cameras.
I did indeed forget my purse, but as this can happen under any circumstances, I feel this is a weak argument for claiming a 'rush'. It is also worth noting I was on crutches with a full leg brace so I was unable to 'rush' anywhere, and my personal possessions have been more difficult to keep track of due to that as well.
Since you referenced the 'full story', perhaps you could also share how you raised your voice, unprovoked, and accused us of lying in front of several witnesses. Indeed, why would we want to stick around to 'work something out' after that? What would there even be to work out after you flat-out said you wouldn't honor the pull tabs? What incentive do we have to spend money at your restaurant after you became aggressive towards us? Of course we would leave after that.
In case it's still not clear, it's not about the $18 of tickets. The bartender had already come over and said you couldn't verify the numbers so they couldn't be honored, and that was fine. But then you came over - when we weren't even arguing about it with the bartender - and started accusing us of lying.
This will be my final edit. Everything I have stated can be confirmed via security footage. I am bemused at you doubling down like this.
Edited to corroborate review left by Steve Z on 6/14/24 & owner's reply. We did not 'storm out', we simply left after having been accused of lying about $18 worth of pull tabs at Cleveland Pub. Owner actually followed us out to continue arguing about it.
It's not even about the pull tabs, it's about being accused of lying about such a trivial thing after having been loyal customers for years. We have spent a lot of money here and are not just trying to get $18 out of you guys, I mean, come on.
Original review: Great burgers,...
Read moreWe had a family gathering reserved (22 adults, 7 kids). The party arrived on time and was asked if we wanted separate checks or all on one. The party decided whatever was easier, which was all on one. Food arrived one by one, the last table had 3 meals incorrect. 2 were plain hamburgers (ketchup only), 1 was a chicken sandwich that was requested crispy and came grilled. The hamburgers came back again incorrect. They were brought out again, still incorrect. We eventually decided to just take one incorrect burger. After 10 minutes, a plain hamburger came out as a replacement. Another 10 minutes goes by, we are still waiting on the chicken sandwich. I went to find the server, ended up talking to the food runner, who immediately went into the kitchen. A bartender, Kelly, then asked if I needed anything, to which I stated a food runner was already helping me. She then decided to tell me that all the issues with food was "because the party was on one single ticket, and [the group] NEVER would have been allowed to be in the reserved room on a single ticket." She continued on that we "had been told we all must be on separate checks." I asked if anyone had communicated that to the group, because our group would have been more than willing to comply. She continued to berate me before I walked away. Kelly was rude and demeaning, for no reason. No one had been upset with our server or the food runner, who both were working extremely hard throughout the day. Do not recommend any...
Read moreWe came out for the Taco Tuesday specials. There is a sign by the door stating to seat yourself. Since the place was mostly full, the only available tables were 4-tops, and we had our 3 kids with us. There is a back event room in which another group was dining, so we headed back there. We waited for about 10 minutes, watching 2 waitresses notice us, but we're not acknowledged. I sent my 14 year old son up to a male worker who was at an order computer to ask if we were allowed to sit in this section and if we could please get some menus. The man replied that it was fine to sit there and someone would be by shortly. Our little kids were getting pretty restless, but considering how busy it was, we continued to wait. Once we hit the 25 minute mark (yes, we watched our clocks), we collected the kids and walked out. No one acknowledged our leaving, just as they refused to acknowledge our presence. I can't guarantee that we will return, even though the previous time we came, the service and food was excellent. I don't know if they didn't want to deal with a family or what the case was... I would attribute it to being busy, but several times different waitresses saw us and locked eyes with us but refused to...
