My family and I are staying in New Bern this week and were told by a local that The Pointe would be open on Thanksgiving. We decided we would call to see if they were still open around 5:30 and Ben answered the phone and informed me that they were already closed. After a brief conversation I thanked him and hung up. A few minutes later Ben called back and said for me to come over to the restaurant as he and his wife were still there cleaning up from the day and had more than enough food left for us to get dinner. My son and I drove over and Ben and his wife had gotten everything out and let us make to-go boxes. When it came time to leave they wouldn't let us pay even though I tried. We were looking to grab just a quick bite, burgers and fries maybe, but ended up with the most wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. The food was beyond amazing and everyone ate until they couldn't anymore because it was so good. My kids even started planning next year's Thanksgiving just to come to The Pointe! I can not thank Ben and his wife enough for what they did tonight and will definitely make sure to visit whenever I am in the area. Great food, great people!...

Last night, we ventured out of our usual area and decided to try The Pointe in Fairfield Harbour. The food was wonderful AND best of all was the customer service! It was simply amazing. Rick Hawkins was welcoming and attentive as was the chef Melissa.
We were unaware it was a buffet Christmas night but the chef allowed us to order off the menu despite having the buffet in the middle of the room. We booked a reservation on ' google'. They couldn't reach out to us to inform us it was a buffet. So they did THE BEST customer service and gave us the regular menu. Kudos to Rick, Melissa and the entire staff for their kindness and awesome customer service.
A funny sidebar for us, we became " the Google People" to the staff at first because I think they don't get reservations through Google a lot! However, they quickly learned our names!!
People in New Bern should give The Pointe a try. The food is terrific AND the way you are treated is STELLAR!!

My husband and I stopped in today and ordered the Margherita pizza , and had to throw the entire order in the trash, a waste of money. We waited almost 30 minutes for it and we were not certain why we had to wait longer than 10 minutes considering the pizza wasn't cooked. The breading was soggy, the tomatoes sauce and the tomatoes were not cooked, and the cheese was cold. It appeared as though we were intentionally served a cold pizza that also appeared disgusting and inedible soon as we opened the box . we just didn't trust it and threw it away. If they didn't want us to come back fo the restaurant they successfully accomplished that , because we wont ever go back...
