Lucky Dhaba Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in New Fairview

Seriously try it before you form any opinions. My wife and I found this place on doordash and called in a to go order. Upon arrival we realized we called in a to go order to a food truck. We were a bit weary but we committed to the culinary adventure and and are so glad we did, the 2 guys working were very kind and seemed excited to serve me, and the food was incredible and my wife and I have enough left over for tomorrow. We ordered the chicken Biryani based on the menu description and it was fantastic, the rice was wonderful and the chicken was flavorful and spicy in all the best ways. I just walked up to order and the guy walked out and just shook his head “no” at me and wagged his finger, like I couldn’t order. It’s 4:30pm and they are apparently closed at 9, so I don’t really know what that was about, but I’ll take my chances going to any other Indian restaurant in the future.

Update: as I was driving away, another man (who looked to be south/ southeast Asian) walked up to order, and they took his order at the window. I’m beginning to suspect this was some sort of race issue or I was judged by my appearance, so definitely wouldn’t recommend...

Drivers! Do not eat here. It's right next to the Pilot. None of the food looks like the pictures they have posted. Chicken roll I got was wrapped up in a tortilla with lettuce and mayonnaise???!! Rice had to be at least 3 days old and the chicken was hard and dried out. Ended up throwing most of the food away. It takes them at least 30 to 40 minutes to make your order so you get to stand outside in this terrible Texas heat and wait for it. No thanks! The Dhabas in...
