I cannot praise the staff and our experience at Brickyard Hollow in New Gloucester enough! Back in September and throughout October, I worked with Kendall, the event coordinator, to work out details for my husband's surprise 40th birthday party. Kendall was prompt, responsive, respectful and very patient with all of my questions for a small 35 person event. Prepping for the event was a breeze because the staff made it so easy and uncomplicated. The location manager, Emily, was kind enough to let us decorate the event space the night before since there was no room rental that night and was so accommodating to any request that we made. The night of the party, we were able to use the house TVs to play a photo slideshow and use their bluetooth speaker system for music. The actual party went off without a hitch! We were required to pre-order food for the party. We opted for 15 pizzas to feed 35 people and guests were allowed to open and take care of their own bar tabs. The food and drinks were delicious and the staff were on top of making sure the pizzas were always fresh and available. Jennifer, our server, was absolutely phenomenal. She committed each guests' name and drink order to memory and was working incredibly hard to make sure everyone was taken care of. All of the guests mentioned how impressed they were with the service that they were getting. The space itself has a very cool vibe. It's kind of industrial with bistro lights strung from the ceiling. When I inquired about the space, I actually got to see it before they'd made some small improvements and I have to say those small improvements made a huge difference! The space is perfect for a gathering of our size and we were able to decorate it in a way that worked really well with the aesthetic. As previously mentioned, they have house TVs and speakers that they allow guests to use for music, slideshows, videos, etc. All in all, Brickyard Hollow's event hosting is top notch. They're actively investing in improving their event space and their staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. The cost of it all is a tremendous value. There's an hourly room fee for weekend rentals, but during the week, they only ask that you place a pre-order for food (off their menu) and that the food gets settled on one check. They're definitely at the top of our list for hosting family gatherings in the future!

I so much wanted to love this place. My husband and I live 5 min away and notice it is always busy. We have been 3 times. First time we felt food was good, service ok, overpriced. Fries were over 9 bucks and we received a very small portion of funky shaped fries. Second time we had pizza and it was very tasty.Again, thought it was expensive. Tonight, we decided to try a third time since we received a coupon in the mail for 20% off order. We ordered a large pizza by phone.. pepperoni, hamburg, and spinach. We were told it would take 20 min. We arrived in 20 min. . Upon arrival and entering the building no one was at the area to seat or greet people. Few minutes later a young man asked us if we wanted to sit inside. We told him we had ordered a pizza and he checked. He told us it wasn't ready yet. The pizza was $30 without the coupon. Bottom line... it took 40 min to get it ( only got it when a woman asked why we were there, checked and found our pizza).Place appears to have no sense of order as to what role each employee has. Pizza was delicious. However, toppings at $3 each were quite skimpy. At $9 for toppings I would think they would be generous. Spinach was no where to be found and what was there was burnt. We won't be back... Pat's has an actually loaded pizza and fries for same price with much better deal! Gave it a 3rd go only due to fact I received a card for free small pizza with purchase of large. Phoned in the order. You know how you can sense when you call in a pizza order the receiver is bothered and doesn't want to be there? That was my experience. Borderline rude. Large 2 topping pizza with free small half pepperoni and she quoted $45... I asked $45 for one large pizza? She rudely stated that was before the coupon. ( Still quite pricey, but i didn't dare to question) Abrupt, unfriendly. Hubby went to pick them up and upon his return states no customer there, yet had to hunt down employee to be acknowledged. Employee that ended up taking care of him made no eye contact, was busy typing on her phone the whole time... Again.. that sense .3 strikes you are out!!

One of multiple locations. This place is easy to find, access, and exit. The front parking lot is often full because of poor signage for the large back lot. They could provide a few more HC parking spaces. Inside you will find an airy industrial design and lots of space and a full bar. Seasonally there's as much eating space outside. They have a decent menu variety to choose from. The beer selection is their own with something for most tastes. The Trestle is a good IPA and the Saison is alot like Allagash's. I was quickly led to my choice of tables and given food and beer menus. I had to ask for water and napkins then told it's self-service. The kitchen screwed up a simple request for tartar on the side of my fish and chips. The server showed me that it was clearly noted on the ticket. The taste of everything was fine, but the servings are thin - literally. The fish filet was half the typical thickness and the steak fries are some of the thinnest I've ever been served. I'd go back to try their pizza which looked like the most popular choice. I heard others complain about napkins and water, but not other issues. I never leave reviews but MAYBE this would help going forward (though I really doubt it, based on past experience) We’ve never had an issue ordering online and more recently through the app. Everything has always been perfect. The last time we were dining in (maybe 8 months ago?) we had extraordinarily slow service. How slow? Well after waiting 45 minutes from when we asked for the check and we saw our waiter just standing around u finally had to walk up to the bar and ask the bartender to flag down the kid and tell him we had waited MORE than long enough for said check and we wanted to leave (keeping in mind we never were offered refills and never received our requested water in addition to our single drinks we still left this kid a decent tip) Well tonight we decide to go in person because I had a reward from the app that we could redeem. The service was equally slow yet again. This time though, our waiter really was very busy on his own but still, we had to ask for water several times (the first time being when we ordered our initial drinks). Food was really slow-whatever, it’s a busy Friday night, we just chatted while waiting. Pizza came, drinks finished, still no water. Also no silverware/napkins. Once we finally got napkins, before even eating I immediately asked for boxes (knowing we were going to need them) as well as the check because we already knew we’d wait an eternity for those if we didn’t ask the second we got our food. Fast forward to paying, I asked to use the rewards from the app. NO ONE knew how to apply this to our bill. “Hold on I’ll ask my manager” then that waiter fell into another dimension I guess because he never returned. We ended up just scanning the QR code on the check, paying the full amount and leaving. Don’t bother offering an app with rewards if not a single person you employ knows how to redeem that reward. And this app is not new-this reward has been sitting in my account for FIVE months. Maybe we’ll stick to ordering online, showing up at least 20 minutes past the offered pick up time and hope for the best. Eating in house is definitely NOT...
