We adore Village Market. Evelyn and the staff are always incredibly friendly and thoughtful, and they know us by name. Food is delicious, sandwiches can be made gluten free, and lots of local crafters showcase their goods in store, so it’s a one stop shop! It’s so nice to have a small café back in town where you can be a “regular.” P.S. try the fried egg sammie and Cuban.

Large latte and a sourdough egg bacon lettuce breakfast sandwich. Large and delicious. Latte excellent. Hot strong espresso. Friendly fast service. One coffee two large breakfast sandwiches under $15. Parking around back maybe fits 10 vehicles. Three tables inside couple outside. A small amount but nice local craft products to peruse. Definitely a must stop.

Fresh and tasty sandwiches. Friendly staff. Fair prices. We enjoyed the chicken salad and turkey BLT. Sandwiches come with chips. Cute indoor and outdoor seating. We would definitely return to try the coffee (they have a fun seasonal drink menu and tons of coffee options) or the ice cream (they have maple creamee!).

What business closes from 2p-5p everyday? It's July, it's Friday 3pm....ice cream would have been nice. Will I waste time again? Nope.

Response from the owner 2 hours ago Hi Gigi. I do and let me explain why; I put Family, Memories, Celebrations and Life events before the Almighty dollar. It's a pretty unique concept for someone who has used their personal capital and drive to setup a new business. But there it is, plain and simple. In this week partially, I visited my best friend daily on the 10th floor of Hartford Hospital. A Life event such as this solidifies my priorities. Always have. Always Will. Maybe next time before you write such a review, you'll actually reach out directly to the business owner to inquire as to why their hours do not run traditional to other businesses. Their answer may surprise you.

My response I, too, run my own business. We have different business models. Perhaps, your hours could be posted on your sign. I was between jobs & wasted my time...

Hidden Gem – Amazing Food & Even Better Atmosphere!

This place is seriously underrated. I’ve been coming here regularly, and every time I’m blown away by how good everything is — and for such affordable prices! The food is delicious, fresh, and surprisingly cheap considering the quality. As someone with a gluten intolerance, I really appreciate how gluten-friendly the menu is. I never have to worry, and there are always tasty options I can actually enjoy.

The workers here are some of the nicest people I’ve met. They always greet me with a smile and go out of their way to make sure I’m taken care of. They even surprised me with a free ice cream — totally made my day!

If you’re looking for a cozy spot with great food, kind people, and prices that won’t hurt your wallet, do yourself a favor and check...

Nice looking place, super limited seating. Got there and spent just over $30 to get two egg sandwiches with bacon and two cups of coffee? Really? I can take two people to any of five local places and get a nice place to sit and eat way more food and actually get table service with a bottomless cup for that plus or minus a buck. Then you hand me that ubiquitous tip screen for what? I had to come get my own coffee and sandwich! It was freezing inside to boot. I can’t see why I would return when George’s is right down...
