I came in with my mom and dad for some ice cream after we ate at the Mexican restaurant. We are not from the area and wanted to try the ice cream. I understand this is a small town joint and may not have the same type of requirements of their employees as a larger city, but there should be respect for the customer. We ordered hand dipped ice cream and there were quite a few families eating in the establishment. The little boy started scooping the ice cream and my dad said to me, I didn’t think you ordered that flavor, I looked and said I didn’t, thinking there was someone possibly in front of me and the little disrespectful boy said “uh NO this isn’t yours, your order is way down the line, there are a lot of other people ahead of you, I have it taken care of”. 30 minutes later, the girl that was working in the back looked out and saw how many tickets he had up and told him he had to scoop all the ice cream before he could take any more orders and was clearly irritated that she had to tell him how to do his job. While he was making a hot fudge sundae the fudge got out of the cup and he used the rag that he wipes the counters with to wipe the fudge back onto the ice cream, WOW!!!! 2 groups of people walked out while we were waiting and rightly so because they weren’t even greeted or told that it would be a few minutes before they could put in their order. I was finally handed ice cream but it was in a cup and then the boy asked what my friend wanted and it was what he handed me in the cup but was supposed to be in a cone. He proceeded to look at me like I told him wrong and was asking what he should do because he had just scooped the last of the ice cream we ordered. The other ice cream I was handed that made it in the cone, we were told was fresh and new and soft and it was melting all over the place. What we tasted was good, but unfortunately we won’t...
Read moreThe shoppe was a great addition to our small town when it first opened. However the last several times I came in with my family the shoppe has been in disarray. The floors are black from the lack of cleaning and the bathroom is a total disaster. I would be embarrassed if this is how my restaurant was being represented. I don’t let my children use the bathroom here anymore! I’m afraid of how the kitchen is kept if the front of the store is so badly in the need of cleaning. It is truly sad the lack of care the teen workers put forth, especially when you walk in and they are just sitting at a table playing on their phone and so much cleaning...
Read morePretty tasty ice cream and the food smelled delicious. Just one glaring issue.....You have a young girl working hard, doing everything up front, a young boy taking money and chatting and another boy doing whatever in the back of the building beyond sight. 1 by 1 the orders got accomplished BECAUSE OF HER! The boys did near zero, save for briskly wiping down a table here and there. While they all were polite, this style of work is not efficient or effective. Many hands make light work and the girl is the star here. I'll be in again soon. Let's see if...
