This is a quaint country restaurant with very polite waitstaff. The decor reminds me of a PA Dutch country store one might find in Lancaster, PA. The prices seem a bit on the high end for the amount of food you get. For example, a quarter pound Cowboy Burger costs $8.50, but a half-pound burger in the Pittsburgh area costs about between $9-11. That’s double the burger for no less than $2 more. My Cowboy Burger was nicely plated, but I asked for medium cooking and got well-done. My buddy got gulash (see pics below), and said it was good but not great. There aren’t really any restaurants in the area, so it’s decent if in a crunch. I’d return in a pinch but wouldn’t go out of my way to revisit.

Great small restaurant. Stopped for breakfast. Home fries are deep fried, probably out of a frozen package. Decor and furniture seem new. Certainly clean. Coffee was excellent with little acidity. Wanted onions and mushrooms with beef, forgot to do that, as the special was 3 Cheese omelette with home fries. Good service with quick refills. Mercer county PA. Georgetown road. Nasty snowy rainy weather. A good place to rest the wings. Food acceptable, not sure how homemade.

Battered codfish was delicious. Potato fries could have been cut thicker. Cole slaw was sweet and tasty. Onion chips w/ ranch dip was great. Blueberry cheese cake was smooth and firm. šŸ‘Œ

The staff seemed to hate their jobs because they were not friendly and the waitress threw the straws at my grandmother and her husband instead of handing them, so perhaps they need to be trained on how to interact with customers? Maybe teach them how to smile as well. Why do they wear nurse's scrubs? That was just weird. That aside, the food was horrific. Absolutely disguisting slop. I had eggs, bacon, and homefries on one day, and the homefries looked like they had been cooked earlier and then re-heated in the microwave before being served because they were wrinkly and mealy. The next day, I had a burger and fries. The burger was dry and tasteless, and the bun was stale. The prices seem good, but the food quality is abysmal, and the fact that there are no other restaurants in the area is probably the only reason people eat at this place. However, the decor is charming in a tacky country type of way. I am grateful that I don't live in the area because my heart would break if this place was my only option for eating out. Eat here if you must, otherwise avoid at all costs.

I almost forgot, I also had a piece of coconut cream pie. Most restaurants use frozen pies, so I'm not judging them for that, but they seem to have purchased the absolute lowest quality of frozen pie possible. The coconut cream part was an unnaturally bright yellow color and the crust was dry in the worst way. Not good. Not good at all....

Ask for sweet ea expect something else. You would think that in a diner, You could get breakfast. We spent good money even though lunch was forced on us and we waited before 11 am to be ask to take a seat or notice we were just standing there, the lunch was not great at all. When a person orders chicken fried steak a person expect white pepper gravy but nope "its after 11" the older lady said , "Cant get it it comes with brown gravy." (And by the way, it was too salty. I dont believe anyone finished the meal) The supposedly seasoned waitress was real snotty to the young girls trying to do a good job that are probably just trying to learn and because of her probably nervous.

If I were the owner I would take note. 1. How your alleged "pro waitress" treats newer waitresses. And 2. consider serving breakfast all hours. In these times you want a profit no matter how you get it.

We still spent around 80 to 90 in your establishment. We didnt finish it and still tipped even though service could have been...

My mother and I stopped in yesterday to grab lunch. The girl that took our drink order had forgotten my coffee, so when our actual waitress came to the table my mother mentioned it. Our waitress promptly brought it back to the table. She took our order and our food came quickly. She had came over at one point and refilled the coffee and asked if everything was alright, all while looking at me. She never asked my mother how things were or if she needed anything. My mother took great offense to this as she needed a refill, but was ignored. She was very displeased with the service and said when she went up to pay the bill, the same waitress who was assisting other customers left when it was her turn to check out. She was left standing there until someone else came over to assist her. I’m not sure that she will return to this establishment and didn’t know the waitress, which left her wondering what she did to her to be...
